Nobody really gives a **** about the Capital One Cup, the big Russian covets the European trophy the most, or he wants to be as dominant as possible, which Chelski seemed to have been going.
I just can't see Chelsea losing their grip at the top of the table. It would be funny to watch it happen but unfortunately I still see them winning the league.
If I wanted to be as dominant as possible (and I happened to be a billionaire Club owner) - I would probably hire Mourinho. Despite the boring football and annoying personality he is the most successful manager out there. The number of trophies he has won in his fairly short career is pretty pretty ridiculous. Abramovic would be crazy to get rid of him again.
He got rid of Ancelotti who wasn't half bad either, won them a title, has a great record in Europe etc. He don't care. For all the money Mo has had at his disposal, his record in the last 3-4 years isn't really that impressive at all.
His record at Madrid with all he had at his disposal, the money, and the players, for 3 years, is quite frankly dog ****, 1 league, and 1 cup, and 1 super cup, their equivalent of the Community Shield with a bit more glamour. In his last season he ended up with nothing.
Yeah all he had to compete with was Pep's Barcelona side. Porto (2002–2004) Primeira Liga: 2002–03, 2003–04 Taça de Portugal: 2002–03 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira: 2003 UEFA Champions League: 2003–04 UEFA Cup: 2002–03 Chelsea (2004–2007, 2013–) Premier League: 2004–05, 2005–06 FA Cup: 2006–07 Football League Cup: 2004–05, 2006–07, 2014–15 FA Community Shield: 2005 Internazionale (2008–2010) Serie A: 2008–09, 2009–10 Coppa Italia: 2009–10 Supercoppa Italiana: 2008 UEFA Champions League: 2009–10 Real Madrid (2010–2013) La Liga: 2011–12 Copa del Rey: 2010–11 Supercopa de España: 2012 That's in 12 years of management. I would still rate Alex Ferguson higher as well as Pepe Guardiola. Look, I hate Mourinho.. but he will probably go down as the most successful manager ever.
Or even 5 years - especially in a period of FFP where he cant pull out the chequebook for every problem
Well that's the point, Mr Special one with all the resources he had, could barely put a dent in Barca, he even suffered that humiliating 5-0 defeat at the hands of Barca. His record at Madrid I'm afraid stands as dog ****. 3 years for the returns he has with all the money spent and players he had? Seria A Shmeria A, he took over at Inter when they were already dominant, having won the league 3 times in a row before he even arrived. Yeah good success in England, after being bankrolled by a BILLIONAIRE. Would he have any of those accomplishments say had he been Chelsea manager from 98-2003 before Abrahomic arrived? Highly doubt it. You can give him his success at Porto, though they had to cheat from their asses in the UCL 2004 when they played against United diving left, right, and centre. All Mo has done for the majority of his career is go to cash strapped teams, so I disagree in saying he will be remembered as one of the most successful, he's no SAF or Wenger who did more than manage a club, but moulded a club in their image and laid the foundations for their clubs turning them into major giant brands (both clubs were already big before SAF and Wenger but they turned them into something else). Mo is only involved in buying-selling players, never plays jackshit in setting up the infrastructure of the club for decades and decades after he goes. Just look how it all went to the ****ter once he left Inter, he leaves no legacy behind or something to carry on, just comes in, and goes. Wenger-SAF leave their mark on a club which will still be left long after they're gone, and long after they're no longer even on this earth, with 100 years from now people talking of how they laid the successful bricks behind the club.
Alan Sugar summed Mourinho up perfectly when he said : 'I'd like to see how bloody special he is down at Leyton Orient !'
Your still trying and yet still so boring... Top four comments and whinger nicknames? Surely you can do better than that?
