Mourinho, Rodgers and Koeman have all impressed this season but we're forgetting someone else

    Well,I am a Gemini. <laugh>

But I am at least consistent with my views, and don't change them from day to day depending on results.

    4 points to target ffs.

Don't worry what the luvvies think ffs, they choose to see a monochrome world so dont get the big picture normal people see. Its their choice to miss the point but its a shame because they are also missing the best time we've ever had as a club.

£150m plus Bonys money will go down a treat this summer. We need Aleksandar Mitrovic (my monochrome moment) or ANOther striker more than any other/.

I'm not sure Dyer can come back from where he is, Routledge'll be another year older so alittle less efective and Montero appears to be prone to injury so after a striker a winger would be the next essential addition.

Happy with the rest of the squad, hope we can keep it together.

I don't understand the thinking that people have no right to change their opinion from game to game, or even mid-game. This is football for crying out loud - the proverbial 'game of two halves'. Everyone has a right to be distraught at half time and ecstatic at full time (or the other way around). Likewise, you can be down in the dumps after losing to the bottom club one week and over the moon after beating top the next. You can even be criticising the team one second, before you swiftly counter attack and score against the run of play! We support a team in one of the most unpredictable of platforms - that being Sport. So I have no problem with people who change their opinions mid-game, or from one week to the next, because that is exactly what I would expect. Sport is full of surprising twists and turns which change opinions constantly.

Vetch, if you truly are 'reactionary', then the normal 'reaction' is to be critical when the team is performing badly and to give praise when the team performs well - that can be two halves of the same game. On top of that, it's natural to factor in and be critical when the team loses and to give praise when the team wins. Rather than to hold one opinion and accuse others of constantly changing theirs. To hold one opinion and stick with it no matter what happens is actually more abnormal - some would call it stubborn, others may call it blind ignorance.

The win at Southampton was quite possibly the first time this season where we literally decided to camp on our own 18 yard line for almost the entirety of the match. We'd been defensive before, but not to that extremity. Of course the fans, me included, were going to be very worried by what we were seeing - we didn't realise it was a plan at the time. We've since carried out that plan more times since then and it appears we're pretty good at playing that way when needed, but because we'd not really seen it from Swansea since pre-Martinez, then of course it was worrying to watch at first. We've come to solely associate passing football with success and defensive football with failure, which is actually untrue, and the more times that we play ultra-defensive and pick up points, the more comfortable fans will become with it. It's never the tactics or the plan that decide success, it's how well those tactics or plans are executed - our current squad is pretty versatile at changing up tactics from dominating possession/attacking football to conceding possession/defensive organisation.

Football doesn't stand still. You get used to something, and then the tactics change and the fans boo, and then you win and the fans cheer, and then you go on a losing streak and the fans hold up banners for a sacking, and then you go on a winning streak and the fans cheer the manager's name. Heck, how often have teams been booed off at half time and cheered off at the final whistle? When we're 8th in the league and 5 points from a record points total, there can only be one reason why people aren't happy - they don't like Monk, they don't like his tactics, or both. But it can't be said that his tactics don't work or aren't successful, and you also can't use a previous manager's achievements to belittle Monk's. In a simple analogy, you can't say to Man 1 that his mansion is sh*t because Man 2's mansion has a couple of extra rooms and a swimming pool - they are both mansions for f*ck's sake.

This is football. If you want to have one opinion about football and never deviate from it, I suggest you find a way to pause time. Then, and only then, will your one opinion forever remain valid. Until then, I'll continue to update my opinions on Swansea City on a game-by-game basis, as will others, because each game gives new insight and should not be ignored.
