Absolutely. He's a loud mouth braggart...so people want to see him get shown up and then, take the piss. Others just want him to shut the **** up and stop acting like a twat. I'm coming from both camps but will just have to live with him. He's not the first managerial appointment I didn't want and I'm sure that he won't be the last.... Terry Neill, The Bloke in the Coat and AVB come instantly to mind. I never chanted any of their names either.
We dont want him to get shown up though surely...this is the thing..I believe a section of our own fans will and do want him to slip up. Just a feeling I get...hopefully I’m way off the mark
They're not fans, in my view. I don't like the bloke at all but I want us to succeed, no matter who's in the team or the manager's chair. I'll cheer the team just the same and I won't boo anyone. My loyalty's to the badge. Players and managers come and go.
Spurs have also been specialists in failure too, unfortunately. We can only hope that Mourinho can change that.
Did some research: that fact i posted last night about all of Ajax's 2018/19 CL opponents sacking their managers is true Also, this flew in unnoticed under the radar: amid all the kerfuffle, Sky reported that Levy opened formal talks with Maureen's representatives soon after the 1-1 draw against Watford.
Jose on 15 million a season...Levy loosening the purse strings for the Special One and making him the 2nd highest paid manager in World Football Well played Levy..I’ve been very critical of him but I am of the belief that he recognises a man who has the minerals to be as astute as Levy is himself in his profession of choice(finanace and business) and obviously Football for Jose. That’s real intent from Levy and I see the pattern of his thinking World class facilities World class stadium And now a World Class manager....massive for our profile. Here’s hoping Levy backs Jose in the transfer market too. I am getting the feeling that Levy didn’t trust Poch to spend well
Hopefully it will help us get a few ref decisions as opposed to ''Mr nice guy who won't call us [ refs] out in the after match press conference'' The media narrative will change. We will become a favourite in their eyes.
And levy back to his usual self. The guardian are reporting Tottenham have no money to spend in January
Said to my daughter as we came home from the Sheffield United mstch that I would not be surprised if they had someone lined up...football can be brutal...but I am still gutted though.
Thing is Bob...whatever the deal with our immediate transfer plans will have been discussed with Jose and he was still happy to sign on the dotted line. So if we don’t spend in January it won’t be the talking point everyone will make it into no doubt His biggest pull in joining us he says was the quality of the squad...he’s not wrong. I’m not saying we are winning anything but I agree with the sentiment that our squad is not as bad as has been made to look due to the environment at Spurs in the last year to which without a shadow of a doubt Poch contributed to by speaking before thinking on many an occasion. I’m not being funny but Jose demands respect and anyone in our squad who thinks they know better than Jose are a set of mugs, deluded mugs. If Jose had said that he will leave if we won the CL...people would get it. 25 trophies tells me this man knows what he is talking about. I think the fact that Poch said it having won zero trophies has affected many of our players. They have spent a lot of time thinking that a manager who has won **** all thinks he’s too good for us...that’s a slap in the face and a kick in the bollocks at the same time. If Jose said that...we would get it...I think the players would get it too. I watched the training video yesterday...I was feeling his aura and presence and without a doubt the players will do too...he’s a born winner and our players need to embrace it. So I don’t expect a massive turnover...but I’m confident Jose will be able to add the odd player of real quality by the time the Summer of 2020 is over. Disclaimer: none of my defending of our players is inclusive of Eriksen
Sky reported last night that there was serious money available for January...no one knows ****...just making crap up as usual I guess.
Not being in the CL would make £80m difference to our budget so something would have to give. But I do think that zero spend is not the right answer.
