Watching Jose's first training session....everyone looked embarrassed....especially Dier. I was wondering......will Jose mistake the FL Cup And EL Cup as a reserve and training competitions?
I'm certainly not. If we'd hired Mr. Bean I would have said, well, not my first choice, sure. But it's not the end of the world. It's not like we hired Jose Mourinho. Ancelloti would have been a decent pick. I would have been fine with Benitez. I sincerely hope Mourinho proves me wrong. But will he? He has an impressive record, but hasn't it been going steadily downhill? Has football passed him by? Spurs fans have to give him a chance for him to succeed, and from what little I can tell, they're pretty likely not to unless he starts winning immediately and keeps right on winning. My best hope for him at Spurs is that it is or should be last chance saloon for him, and desperation can be a powerful motivator.
Had a couple of digs like this to journalists that he obviously gets on with. He knows exactly how this stuff plays in the media.
Just in case anyone's wondering, it's not a real tweet. Can you imagine Alli criticising someone for being too cocky?
165 characters. Mourinho was also leading the league with Madrid at the time, winning virtually every game and it was an international break, I think. Alli would've been a 16-year-old in MK Dons' academy and yet to make his debut. Unlikely that he'd rule out working with him, at the time.
It's been suggested that negotiations began after the Watford game, while the Telegraph reported that Poch was asked to step down last week
Or we might end up with a statue of the Special one outside the Stadium one day Life is full of surprises
