Go on Bob tell us how it works...I'm sure you're an expert on compo by now considering how much Chelsea pay out to sacked managers

don't get your knickers in a twist, i've not said anything about compo, thats @Chief @The Liebherr Legacy and @Saintmagic

I'm just laughing @NSIS chucking wages into the equation for getting poch. As if:

1. United care about money
2. Anyone starts counting wages when buying players/managers

None of us knows what Poch’s contract states.

I have drafted plenty, over the years.

It is usual, with these types of contract, for the parties to set out very clearly “notice periods” for termination. With most professionals, there is usually a requirement for three months’ notice.

I don’t know what notice provisions are in Poch’s contract, of course, but I would be surprised if there was not a provision preventing him from leaving mid season.

Of greater relevance will be any “restraint of trade” clause that might seek to prevent him working for a competitor within “so many months” of leaving us. If Poch wished to join United within the timeframe of such a clause as this, that is where Levy would be able to demand and expect to be paid compensation.

Whether or not he could reasonably demand the figures being bandied about, I do not know.

****inell mate, I would not have put any money on you being the one to bring some common sense to this discussion; but you just have.

Must be ****ing Christmas

NSIS acting like he’s seen Pochettino’s contract.

You do know release clauses in the UK are unenforceable if the club cannot prove without prejudice the losses it would incur?

It’s all done now, Tel.

I’ve got this, mate.

A contract is a contract, Is a contract, is a contract.

This is getting very boring now. Come back and talk to me when Zidane takes over.

You need to ask @NSIS , i was using his calculator mate. Thanks for laughing at him with me.

If you sign a binding contract, of course that has to be figured in to your costs. Although that cost can be amortized, of course. It still remains a cost.

As I’ve said, this is all getting ridiculously boring. This idiotic bickering about something that hasn’t happened and most probably won’t.

This is why nobody takes you seriously NSIS. Nice enough bloke by all accounts but you just make it up as it suits you.

Utter drivel.

Just out of interest why do you think it will be Zidane? Surely with Solskjaer coming in this says that they definitely won't be getting Zidane as he is the only one of the realistic targets who they could get now so why wouldn't they?
