So if Levy doesn't want him to go then he'll stay for the next five years?

No.

You’ve just decided that he’s going because that’s what you want.

Doesn’t mean it’s gonna happen. Levy will fight to keep him and they have a close relationship. If he’s absolutely determined to join Utd then he’ll have to let him go. But it won’t be cheap, that’s for damn sure!

Why not? It’ll cost em £40-50 mill and that’s before they get to his salary, and the payoff to Maureen.

Will it ****.

He'll resign his current post, which he's within his rights to do like any working person the world over.

Nowhere near £50 million, utter made up nonsense.

He has over 4 yrs left on his contract. This’ll cost around £40 mill alone. Add in his salary, say £75-80 mill over 5 yrs. plus the £20 odd mill payoff to Maureen, and you’re looking at well over £100 mill to secure a manager who you lot are so fond of reminding us hasn’t won anything.

They wont care if they want him, it's affordable and will not put them off for a second. They paid £90M for the midfield version of Balotelli.

Compo doesn't work like that.

This is just bollocks, I have no idea why you waste your time making such utter tosh up.

He'll quit. Like working people do on a daily basis in all walks of life.

There may well be something in his contract that says if he does he has to pay some form of recompense but it will not be his full contract.

That would not be legal. And you know it.

He’s under contract and he’ll be held to that contract unless it’s paid in full.

There is no release clause,
