The money is no compensation for losing him. Levy knows that and will fight tooth and nail to keep him.

I can see the logic for fighting tooth and nail to keep a player but a manager... not so much. Why would the players want to play for a manager who would rather be at another club?

All Poch genuinely has to do is tell Levy that his heart isn’t at Spurs anymore and he becomes an almost worthless asset. It’s not like when you force a player to stay and they just get benched, the guy could turn the club to **** overnight.

I’m not saying he would as he seems a genuinely good bloke, but the power is always in his hands.

So are many. Ours included
Personally I think Lewis is building up for a sale. The stadium was the last piece of the jigsaw. It’s what Spurs need as he’ll never invest the transfer money to take them to the next level.

As proven by Watford last season.

And where has he said his heart isn’t at Spurs anymore? And why would his heart suddenly be st Utd?

As mentioned before it would be like kante staying at Leicester instead of going to Chelsea or gotze staying at dortmund instead of Bayern. Ineivitable United at the bigger club plus the fat wedges

If he’s not disposed to invest after going through with the new stadium, I hope he does sell to somebody who will invest.

The squad is 4 players away from being very strong.

Most of the top six outside of City would probably say similar to be honest. Even Pool aren't fully there yet despite a great season so far. We're probably not even in need of four as it goes, a top class CM to go straight into the XI and a DM to backup Dier would be ideal for us, I'd like to say a backup for Kane as well but our track record of getting those is shocking.

You’d said Levy would fight tooth and nail to keep him. He’d only have to do that if he wanted away mate.

Butyou won't get them as you have no money
should've got a freebie stadium like we did.

No. That includes giving him every assurance to help him decide to stay.

It’s said that they have a very close relationship, so I’d expect Levy to do all be can to persuade him to stay.

This is all making the leap of assumption that he actually wants to go. Which is by no means certain.

Based on no stats or evidence whatsoever, Utd will double his wages. At least.
You don’t turn that down.

I don’t dispute that. I disagree with the suggestion that our squad is a mess. We have some bang average players that the **** and LVG spent a fortune on but we also have a core of quality players who have been ruined by the ****.

Yup. So when levy doesnt spend again in jan pochs head will be turned and that will be the end of that

Who can Spurs realistically buy in Jan that would convince him that Levy isn’t going to shaft him again ?

He had his chance to prove that he’d put his money where his mouth is in the summer and basically ****ed Poch off.

Agreed, I've said this before too. The club are ripe for a rich investor to take them over. Uncle Joe and ENIC are an investment company, and they aren't going to see massive returns on Spurs unless they invest heavily, which they won't. They'll probably sell out to the Chinese.
