He won’t go to Utd.

Carrick isn’t a bad choice to take over. He always came across as intelligent and a reader of the game. I’ll be interested to see how he does.

United will approach Poch this summer, I am sure of it. They may not get him, but they have made no secret of coveting him.
So it's hardly bollocks,

United are a bigger club, with an actual stadium, who can double his salary and promise him £250m to spend in the next transfer window.
As a career move its a no-brainer
Just depends on whether Poch wants to see out his project with Spurs and show some loyalty.
 
Would putting Carrick in charge be the right message to send to the players?

Mourhino was a disciplinarian. The players didn't want to buckle down and play for him, so they all downed tools and engineered his exit.

Would Carrick get the players to play to any particular tactical system? Or would he simply let them do what they want to do?

Would that be a good thing or a bad thing?

Poch could have left Spurs for those reasons at any time over, at least, the past two seasons. Not only has he not left, but he has made it increasingly clear to the press that he has absolutely no intention of leaving the club for any one.

I have absolutely no doubt that United will put Poch high on their list - he's the best manager in the World, in my view. But, it would be like me putting Miss Universe on my "celebrity shag list" - interesting, perhaps, but not at all realistic.

Also, I have absolutely no doubts that the media is going to go into overtime with its "Poch to United" tapping-up frenzy.

Ultimately, however, I remain confident that Poch has no interest in going to a club that clearly has massive problems to solve. I think he is more intelligent than he is greedy.
 
It is like a cloud has lifted though.

That **** should never have been anywhere near the United manager job. LVG made more sense FFS.

The best manager in the world took Spurs from the brink of a title to finishing third behind Leicester and Wenger’s Arsenal. Epic.
