Utd have had a mare since Fergie left, so they will be wanting the next manager to be there for the long term Poch wont see that as a career killer, quite the opposite in fact.

Ron Atkinson also introduced the first black England International to the high level re Laurie Cunningham. Atkinson racist? Nah, he's just a typical Brit that makes off the cuff remarks..

Apparently his camp said that he would ‘take into account’ any offer from Utd.
 
I've just spent some time reading back over press articles dealing with this "Poch to United" broken record of hack journalism, and two things become immediately apparent.

Firstly, itbwas going on before Mourihno joined the club. Secondly, Poch has consistently ignored the interest, and when absolutely pressed on the subject has always insisted that he never responds to such speculation and that he is happy at Spurs.

So, he we are again with rampant speculation and Poch telling drooling hack journos that he doesn't want to respond to the speculation.

What will happen next? Will:

(a) the journos go away to do a little bit of research, discover that Poch has been through this several times before, and finally believe what he has consistently stated all along, that he wants to stay at Spurs, or

(b) the journos will do nothing of the sort and opt, instead, for ramping up the baseless speculation until United appoint the next manager they will end up sacking in three years ?

Pochettino may well be thinking along these lines, but he's hardly likely to ring up the Manchester Evening News and have a word, in my opinion.

Poch is 3rd in the league and still in the CL, the new Roosterdome is almost complete and he has a few decent players at Spurs.
So why indeed would he leave Spurs?, firstly he is not a Spurs fan and is not loyal to his clubs(or he wouldn't be at Spurs now), secondly man u are iconic and the biggest club in England, and finally when he's promised untold millions to spend on players by Utd and given a pay deal that puts his Spurs wages in the shade he'll be gone.

Nobody to blame but Levy and the Spurs owners, should have backed him in the market instead of penny pinching.
