As much as it was a bad moment, no getting away from that I understood it. Klopp was trying to breath life into a corpse at that point we have been neutered by Rodgers and were a shell of our former selves. In the PL years we've been on a massive roller coaster of highs and lows but at the end Rodgers had killed us there was no energy, we hadn't come back from a goal down in something like 9 months under Brendan.

The only reason I can fathom for him doing that is to embarrass the players and bring them into the dressing room and say, if you can deal with that embarrassment on a weekly basis crack on, otherwise start ****ing winning. If he was United manager doing that in front of The Stretford End, he'd have probably been sacked on the spot.

He should know better than to do that as manager of a club steeped in success.

As I said I understood it at the time (not that I was happy with it). He's not made many mistakes so far and we look a bit more like Liverpool again.

How are you finding Jose? Most Utd fans I speak to are on the fence, they want to see more good football but can't fault the fact that he's gone and won 2 pots.

    Thats what he does.
His football will never be tika taka, but he builds hard working, strong teams, and when it comes to winning trophies, there are few better.

There were games last season that I spent pulling my hair out, like home to Burnley (Heaton had the game of his life) and others that I thought were footballing masterclasses, such as Chelsea and Leicester at home.

We're paying for poor signings that never worked by LVG, Di Maria, Memphis, Falcao, we lost a lot of ground to the teams we used to compete with over those seasons, obviously the rot set in with Moyes only bringing in Fellaini... it's a big job for Mourinho to build a side again. I'm not stupid enough to think he could do it on a shoestring, of course he's gonna spend a fortune but I'd rather our funds went on players than in the owner's pockets.

I'm not on the fence, I fully believe in him I just hope he continues to show the youth enough faith.

Good effort from HIAG, very commendable.

But I'm afraid I'm going to have to claim WFU if Utd now go and sign Lukaku <laugh>

    Good.

If there's one manager I'd want nowhere near my team it's Pep Guardiola.

Do you accept the style of play though? I don't think the Utd fans are quite there yet but if he wins PL or CL they may well change their minds.

His style of play is much more pleasing than the style of play LVG tried to implement here. Or Moyes.

Do I accept it? Yeah, I loved watching us, particularly in his first spell at Chelsea.
We seemed invincible in the two season 2005 and 2006

People are over critical at times, I've seen you lot play some good footbal under him...Until Christmas, at that point it's shut up shop and grind out results. Might not be pretty but it is effective.

Fergie used to do that in reverse. Play some boring football ducking and diving through games, then after Christmas it was like he told Scholes to start playing and we'd romp to title after title, as you know.
