Did you get a trophy during that time? We did, the competition that is vital to your club tonight. Funny how priorities change in football in such a short space of time.
Please tell me how it is unfeasible we could overturn a six point deficit in 22 games? If we have a coach whose tactics wouldn't dumbfound Stephen Hawking and would actually get the best out of our players, it is entirely feasible at this moment in time that we can overturn this. ...or, if we rehire Christian Gross, the shockwave from every Spurs fan facepalming in unison would cause every single opposition player in the Premier League to suffer a debilitating cruciate injury, meaning we're awarded 3-0 wins for every single game for the rest of the season as we are the only team capable of fulfilling the fixture. Now who's seeking comfort?
Not sure if you are referring to last nights performance, or the posters here in general...... can you be more specific? Just so you know most of the comments here are throw away, poor attempts at humour....it's our board and we can say what we want, though we welcome fans from other teams, if you don't like it you don't have to stick around.
Are you going to change your user name if Bergkamp turns up as a coach at our place? More importantly, remember that Chelski have, as usual, been incredibly lucky this season. This included dodgy penalties and refs inability to understand the rules of football, as well as teams throwing away leads when dominating the game. The media have given the special one this (title and) aura and seem to go out of their way not to be overly critical. All this worship must be affecting the refs in some way, and I'm not accusing them of deliberately favouring Chelski but there may well be something in the subconscious that kicks in during the split second of decision making that goes somehow along the lines of 'if this decision goes in favour of Chelski nobody will say a thing but if I give this against Chelski I'll never hear the last of it'.
Who wouldn't want their team to pick up easy points from bad refereeing.... "Hello my name is Spursguru, and I admit I am jealous of the luck Chelsea are repeatedly granted"
I don't. I don't want any points from dodgy penalties, refs forgetting the rules of the game, diving or any kind of cheating by my team. I'm serious by the way. I'm not going to be condemning other teams for their luck, and criticising their players for cheating and then be happy when we get or do the same. If that was the case, where's the high ground? What's the difference? I want our points to be properly earned.
The highground being CL football. I'm not saying I want them to start cheating, diving or anything else...but the luck they are getting in the last few years with goals over the line, offside goals, pens etc. has to be worth an extra 6-7 pts a season.
