Italian press say Rossi to Yamaha
Two year MotoGP project followed by a return with Yamaha to WSB

Rossi and Lorenzo didn't go to well last time, what makes Yamaha think an even better Lorenzo (he's far better now than he was before) would be an easier teammate? I would have taken Dovi as the safe option. He'll get you podiums and score solid points, he's the motoGP equivalent of Nick Heidfeld (except he's won a race)

But he won't sell you oodles of Yamaha motorcycles, and the Yamaha YZRM1 is still essentially the creation of Yamaha, the racing development team and Rossi. Besides, it'll be interesting to see how he goes. My betting that he'll get himself upto speed very quickly indeed, because the bike will fit him like a glove.
