What is a leisurely ride on a GSX1100? About 140 going to the shops. I always remember as a young'un there was a craze of RD350. Loads had them.
yes, Yamaha. Pocket rockets they were called. Also 250 Super dreams were the bikes to have when i was a nipper. One lad had a 750 Triumph Bonneville and used to do wheelies up and down the main road in Hebburn, ****in nutter he was.
A mate of mine had a Yam R1. Got 60 out of it in 1st gear going up South Stanley bank & there's five more to go after that.
My slang for a BMW. It's the modern version of the bikes that the Jock lad and the chubby English twat went around the world on.....weighs the same as a bloody tank!
I'll be there on the 4th June. It is by far the most exhilarating sports event I've ever been to.....noise, speed, risks, and all coupled with the fact you get to ride on the same roads. If you get the chance go and see it. Here's the trailer for the movie that kicked off Guy Martin's tv personality career. The full movie is a great watch after a few beers and a curry!
I've just got back from Manx mate, I'm more into motorsport with Cars than bikes, Mark Higgins is attempting the TT lap record again in a car, this year. Apparently they've asked Seb Loeb to do it in a WRC and the organisers reckon if he agrees to do it, he'll set a new lap record overall, including bikes. The course is phenomenal, the best roads in the world... like I say though, you've got to be a nutter to even attempt what the riders do. No roll cages, or protection, apart from a helmet and some soft padding round the lamp post that they're going to hit at 150mph... yeah that'll save ya.
