Robertson catches the eye with his exciting runs but I have to agree with Chazz, his crosses are dreadful.
The only thing our mid field need to do is shoot, straight & hard. All of them at sometime in the game had a chance but elected to pass instead, or in Livermores case just carefully side footed it to the keeper. Why does Huddlestone, who can really strike a ball choose to try clever dink passes instead of leathering it at the goal, he never had a shot all evening.

1. N'doye
2. Livermore
3. Dawson

I thought McShane played well also.
I'm pleased to be giving - and seeing - votes to Livermore. He was well overdue for a good one. In fact, I thought our whole midfield, including the wing backs put in a solid performance. That includes Meyler who was much better tonight, even though he had me tearing my hair out a couple of times with some dreadful decision making. Having said that, I can't recall him giving the ball away too often.
overall, I felt we were unlucky and Jelavic should most certainly have had a penalty after being wrestled to the ground in the first half!

This is one of our main issues, the midfield aren't scoring- Livermore should have taken that chance for example and Huddlestone should be getting 8 goals a season at least with his technique, instead of the 0 he currently has. Daws is my Man of the Match.

Everyone banging on about Livermore, don't forget his excellent run and sweet pass that set up the best chance of the entire match... In fact I think that was the best chance we've created all season.

It wasn't Livermores fault that the recipients shot ended up closer to the highest peak in Iceland than the goal.

Dawson - following in the footsteps of 2007 vintage Turner and 2013 vintage Davies in leading by example from CB
Livermore - lung busting performance
N'Doye - classy finish but could have had 2.

Robbo MOM? 4th for me! get him practicing on training ground on crossing he's got the pace especially in home games. But a bit harsh to say there is no end product, at the moment it's 50% good, the ball at the death was excellent, if one of our strikers had anticipated a cross, we could have nicked it. Brady is a better crosser but less frequent.

others:

Bruce Jnr - deserves new contract
Hudds - why does he 'dink' corners? the ball rarely clears the first defender - put them in properly son, come on
Elmo - hope his hamstring doesn't go, I'm getting a bit worried.. he maybe needs a rest but it's Leicester next..

1. The Ref - some pretty good decisions
2. Monkey Man for getting sent into the stands
3. Old Nosey, for nearly sticking one on Monkey Man
4 a better effort
5 points dropped in last two (WINNABLE?) games

1.....Robbo (we've missed him..
2.........Meyler....(imho...excellent, though he should he stayed on the deck when Catter tripped him)
3................Livermore

Why is it we don't feed the strikers when they run the channels into the box ??
Several times last night both N'Doye and Jelavic made great runs into the box and we played the ball ****ing square to either Huddlestone who had a better game, Livermore or Meyler who were sometime wasteful.

Nuff said.

CTID

N'Doye - Excellent goal and his first touch is light-years better than anyone we've had for years.
Robertson - Mainly for his attacking play which had Sunderland on edge every time he went forward, and defensively better than his recent games.
Dawson - The pick of the back 3.

1. Huddlestone............easily his best performance this season.
2. Elmohamady...........thanks to Poyet's tactical ineptitude, for once Elmo wasn't double-teamed and he consequently put in a great performance
3. Robertson...............raking runs down the left shows his quality but his end product is still lacking.

You can't have been watching the same game as I was. Livermore was outstanding tonight, not perfect of course, who is but his effort was outstanding and he also showed some real quality at times.

I was probably being unfair on him, he played well, but at vital times in the game he either gave the ball away or showed a lack of quality. But at other times he was bang on point with his passing and showed some creativity; hopefully he'll keep on improving.

I thought Daws and Macca did a great job keeping Junior out of the game in the first half - he hardly touched the ball in the first 30 minutes - he then almost ****ed up with Rodwell although the ref said it was a dive and had the one mare in the second half when he nearly put them through but otherwise hats off to the back two

1. Elmo
2' Robertson
3. Dawson

I'm sorry but Meyler is clueless - was put into some great positions then decided he needed to play the ball backwards - best one was last minute and we were piling forward for the winner - ball to Meyler who stopped and sent the ball towards our goal - ref shook his head and blew for time
I wonder what you'd be saying if it was Bruce and not Macca who let Rodwell get on the wrong side of him for their goal.
