I've heard excuses for fletcher all season.

if he has been carrying a season long injury, he shouldnt be bloody picked. Jozy is the better option at the moment, as fletcher is playing **** regardless of the reason (excuses) that people are making for him

I still think if Borini played central with AJ and either Socco, Mavrias or Gacco on the other side we would carry more threat. I would love Jozy to prove me wrong but I don't think he is a long term soloution as a central striker, just my opinion.

I think we're providing more than enough threat. though I do want Borini playing central. We've put away 18 goals in our last 8 games.

The overall team consistency is the problem, which I believe comes with our inability to deal with opponents pressing us high up the pitch forcing us too deep. The Southampton game being the perfect example.

Fletcher has played in 12 Prem games & Altidore has played in 15 prem games. you should stop making excuses for Fletcher.

Didn't see it mate so can't comment and I'm not getting into an argument with anyone here, I'm just stating that I prefer Fletcher as a proven scorer to Altidore. But, hats of to Jozy, the lad put a helluva shift in against the scum and as such deserves a place in the starting line up against his old team Hull.

We can argue till we're blue in the face but that's my thoughts. I am open minded though and if Jozy can prove me wrong i'll gladly eat humble pie, no problems at all.

Right now for me it's Altidore over Fletcher. No question. Neither are scoring but Altidore is providing much, much more to the team than Fletcher is. If Fletcher's performances are down to injury then he needs to stop playing and get it sorted, because aside from the odd goal he has been really poor this season

Agreed 100% With Scocco coming in and Connor back I wonder if he could be going back under the knife? They can certainly get the injury assessed and like you say give him the rest he needs.

If he has a achilles tendon problem then it is very tricky, I've had problems with mine for years, I have not had surgery cos that can leave you with even worse problems.

I've had two Achilles tendon ops. Right and left (not at the same time thank god) It's quite a long time in the cast. the lower lag suffers a lot of muscle waste from the cast time. I was led to believe he had ankle problem though.

So was Ki and Colback... Should we drop them? Using the worst game I've seen us play most of the season as measuring stick doesn't really provide a good argument.

A Scottish physio who was part if the team when fletcher got injured stated that it takes around twelve months of "bit part games" to fully recover. Fletcher had to step into the breach because Jozy wasn't looking up to it. Last2 games he has looked far better but still unlikely to score. Hopefully he gets a hat trick against hull to set him away!!

But I would, at some point, like to see Borini given a chance up front... I just love the hand-biting Italian nutter!!
