Struggling to think of anyone else who played at least ok! Total lack of intensity going forward.
Pretty depressing forward play by everyone tonight, zero quality with crossing and shooting
Not sure of line up choices again, but assume opinions will vary. Need to up our game.
come on lads, Alzate played good football in our half but give it him near their box and he does nothing, one ball he should've played either Coyle or Kamara in free down the right way easily intercepted and totally summed his game up, ineffectual where it counts
Alzate, our best player by a country mile tonight.
Macca because he had a go
Hughes because he didn't do much wrong.
..
No fight and no energy, in fact piss poor.
Watford didn't have to do much to win that and the lazy way Coyle, Geldharte and Slater jogged back and half heartedly failed to stop the cross coming in was disgraceful.
1. Hughes - solid and robust , he was dominant in the air . The odd foray forward too.
2. Alzate - composed on the ball he always seemed to have time .
3. Pandur - deserved a clean sheet , could do nothing about the goal .
Disappointed with the display as a whole as we appeared to lack urgency . We had our chances and failed to put one our best away moments before they scored .
We could do with a result against Coventry.
Come on City
Alzate (class, but can't do it on his own)
Hughes
Was struggling for a 3rd, but will follow BT's lead with Ambrabat!! It's a joke, but he's right in that he at least tried to take a player on, showed some urgency, looked forward.
Gelhardt - why was he subbed? Just as the subs worked v well v Wednesday, I thought they were wrong tonight. We took off our best player. It should have been Crooks and Lincoln who were hooked.
Pedro - ditto though maybe a legacy of the injury
McLoughlin though that free header was woeful
Alzate I guess should be in the top three but he misses out due to that appalling shot near the end. To be honest, we looked like relegation fodder despite a reasonably bright first half.
