Lundstrum - excellent defensively and going forward. Great range of passing. Seri-esqe at the base of our midfield.

Gelhardt - great goal, workrate, and guile.

Palmer - the best I've seen from him.

Should have won more comfortably, but to be fair to Oxford they were decent and scored two good goals (we could have been better defensively but good goals non the less). Overall a good team performance. Lots still to work on, but optimistic.

As said before, could actually have all 11 starters in the top 3, and the subs played their part as well.
Best performance I've seen at home since .... can't honestly remember.

Lundstram
Ndala (helped by Giles having his best game in a City shirt)
Gelhardt (helped by Drameh having his best game in a City shirt)

Honourables for Giles, Palmer, Ndala, Lundstram, Crooks... To be fair the whole team played well and you could argue most of them could be given top 3 motm spots. No negatives from me at all. A couple of defensive slip ups, but we'll always have that from time to time. The difference now is what we're doing when we have the ball - our possession is much more meaningful and we're creating chances.

Giles - top marks for performance but more importantly for transforming his City career and fans opinion of him - well done
McBurnie - could easily become a City legend if he continues to show his passion for the shirt
Gelhardt - never gave up - hope we can buy him at some stage

Brian Horton apparently voted for Lundstram too.
He knows his onions.
I assume his vote can count on here too.

Lundstram - controlled the game in midfield and some superb long passes, especially in the first half until their reshuffle reduced his options.
McBurnie - great hold up play, two assists and an excellent late winner.
Gelhardt - so glad we’ve got him back, gives us so much energy and plenty of skill with it.

Taken so long to post this because I really couldn’t make my mind up. Still not sure but that’s what I’m going for but could have put several others in there.
Giles - looking like the player we think we’d bought.
Drameh - another solid performance.
Palmer - not been a fan but yesterday was excellent first half, although less so second. I suspect that moving forward, we’ll probably see Gelhardt starting in that position more regularly but Palmer coming on late in games could give us the key to unlock tight defences.
Hughes - keeps getting better.
No one had a bad game but we do need to be a bit more switched on when defending set pieces, particularly the high balls into the box and closing people down on the second ball.
