Belloumi hits the top spot once again - the 4th time in the last 6 games - but although he was playing well before, he wasn't impacting on the scoreline enough. He changed that last Monday. Big players influence big games. Cometh the hour, cometh the Mo.
It was sensible of the EFL to leave a significant break between the playoff semifinals and the final. Rest the players. Then some quality preparation time before their 'most valuable game in world football' end of season showcase final.
So how have they ****ed it up so badly?
Half that available time has already elapsed and we still don't know who we're to be playing, or when.
The best we've got is that we'll be playing Southampton next Saturday, unless we don't, when we will probably play Middlesbrough, maybe a week on Wednesday.
Or maybe we won't play anyone.
Anywhere.
At which point it doesn't matter that we won't know when we're not going to play them. Or indeed, what time.
And the lads are currently preparing for this set of scenarios.
It's an absolute farce. Entirely not of our making.
It's a situation that you just couldn't make up.
Although currently some independent group of Gawd knows who's are essentially doing just that.
