Very hard to take.
Would have loved another clean sheet , so nil nil would be good . The team fought hard for that clean sheet and in my biased veiw thought we deserved it .
1. Pandur- kept us in the game with some good saves .
2. Alzate- another battling performance and apart from the odd bazaar moment looked composed and robust in front of our defence.
3. Jones - continued on from the Blackburn game with another solid display.
Unlucky boys

Puerta.
..
I must start with Omur. I honestly only saw him touch the ball once in the 60 mins he was on the pitch. Can anyone tell me what position he was supposed to be playing? For the rest of the game, we looked decent in the first twenty minutes, then somehow lost the plot and for the next hour I don't think we managed to string two passes together. Boro had us under the cosh, totally dominated the ball and possession especially at the start of the second half when it was like the Alamo at times, we just could not get a foothold in the game.
it changed a bit when Kamara came on and he had more possession in five minutes then Omur had in an hour, but if petered out.
Boro were the best football team I have seen at home this season and at times they were toying with us. Those three subs they brought on were supercharged and we looked as though we would buckle at any time, but didn't................
So, young Harry Vaughan, and before him Giles gave us a bit more, and we managed to raise a bit of steam towards the end of the game and looked half likely to have stolen a point, but, come on, how poor are we up front? Did we ever seriously look like scoring?
A draw would have been miraculous and I thought we'd pulled it off, untll that one lapse of concentration in the 93rd minute, but let's be fair Boro deserved it.
So we start a New Year in a relegation slot and, all of our own doing, and anyone who thinks we will casually stroll out it is seriously deluded. We are in a dog fight.
I think anyone with any football sense knows we are in a Dog fight and it will be 21 Cup finals from now until May .
Come on City

We looked absolutely bare bones tonight and the gulf of quality between us and Boro was there for all to see.

I didn’t understand Dremeh or Puerto going off when they did. Omur and Burstow being deployed as wingers continues to be a real head scratcher.

And yet again Burns didn’t get a look in despite our defence coming under the kosh for the final 30 minutes.

I personally would have thrown Selles Fleming on instead of Bedia.

1 ... Pandur

2 ... Alzate

3 ... Jones.

What the **** happened after half-time?

Second half we where mostly ****. We certainly can't grumble about the result. The Smogies had us chasing shadows for most of the second half.

Well done Harry Vaughan played well and took one for the team for his yellow card.

Alzate -starting to look comfortable as he gains match fitness

Jones - didn't deserve to be on the losing side

Pedro - shame his legs have gone. There's a real player in there. Unfortunately if he could still run as well as play he would probably be somewhere higher up the food chain.

Well done to Vaughan for being willing to commit a cynical foul yesterday - shame those on the other side of the pitch didn't follow suit, eh?

Pandur - amazing string of saves to keep us in it.
Alzate - starting to show his class as he match fitness improves.
Puerta - just why take him off at ht? We completely lost the midfield battle afterwards.

Jones - poor ****er, having those other three as his defensive team mates.
