1 - Coyle 2- Connoly 3- Seri. We are building a decent team here, just need to up our urgency in attack at times.
I love an away game like that one ,always magic to get the win after looking like it was going to be a bad day at black Rock. Seri wonderfully gifted player Connolly , just watched his goals again Twine great debut obviously a very talented player and the Burnley connection certainly antagonised the locals.
Connolly - goals Delap - leading the line, runs, a great warm up act to Connolly Ingram - crucial save at 1-1 right before our winner and the 'assist' to put Delap through for the red card.
Connolly - for all the jokes about LR’s philosophy etc, clearly Rosey gets the best out of him. May it long continue. Delap - enjoyable to watch and can only see him getting better and better. Coyle - he’ll know his own limitations better than anyone, but his work rate and commitment is second to none. I feel good times are ahead of us!
Traore looked a level above. He needs to move more central and play closer with Tufan. Connoly. Two class finishes. Twine. Maybe tried too hard to impress, but I'm glad he tried. Coyle was good, and Greaves. I get frustrated when we play 80 minutes like we're 3 - 0 up then have to play catch up. Win the game then cruise, not the other way round. Chuffed, mind.
I thought Traore had one of his quieter games (normally I’m a big fan!) but I may have missed his contributions.
1. Connolly ~ match winner 2. Delap ~ ran through them with ease at times and got a player sent off 3. Twine ~ promising debut and will get better Special mention to Coyle for heading the ball off the line.
Connoly (without his contribution we would have lost he game and the first was a wonderfully taken goal it was not as though it was an easy chance and the second although easier was of the type that I have seen many others miss) Seri quiet calm and effective with the ball and one time showed he could be dangerous in the box dribbling the bsll to the goal line and winning a corner. Tufan gets some stick on here but his vision with his back to goal with some of his flick ons take immense skill and his passing is done with speed.he speeds the game up.
I think a lot of our fans get frustrated at this perception. But I think you're wrong to think that's what we're doing. It's not a lack of interest in scoring or getting it forward, it's just that it takes a bit of time and probing to create the meaningful openings to go forward and create good chances. I think this misperception is a real issue because the crowd so easily gets negative. It really was poor support yesterday, getting frustrated and piling extra pressure on as we searched for the breakthrough. We didn't really deserve the comeback that the team gave us.
