What I meant was MOTD shouldn't be pandering to the big clubs and their money, they are supposed to be following the BBC mandate of impartiality so the size and worldwide audience of the big six clubs shouldn't be a factor in the amount of TV time and their viewing slot on the program. Each club should have an equal amount of time dedicated to them and the order of play should be evenly distributed.
It's not a question of impartiality though i it? It's a question of what's popular. The vast majority of viewers will want to see the top 4 in action because that's just the way it is. The harsh reality is that fewer viewers want to watch us even if we win by 5 goals than a Man U 1-0. Viewing figures rule, and the level of demand rules. No TV Channel in the world will give equal coverage to the smaller teams in the Prem. It's irritating but understandable.
Somebody mentioned that one of the big teams used to be on last to maintain viewing figures, I would say that would be a fair way of doing this.
Big clubs draw the viewers and they will always be the main match....the only time teams like us will ever be on first is if we are playing one of them. that's the way it has always been .....swans v hull im sorry it dont cut it as a main match to the world wide viewer and i can understand that....we should be grateful that we do get shown around the world ......we could be in the championship and have no exposure at all......Its no big deal...
Yes Dai they draw the viewers, but if one of them were at the end of motd it would mean that probably more people would watch the whole programme
Well I'm not surprised. Poor game. I think if we're in a game with 3 or 4 goals and we're still bottom I'll concede defeat.
The analysis was good though. They rubbished Bobby's claim it wasn't a pen and they criticised the ref for disallowing Shelvey's goal. That's something I guess.
Nothing wrong with their analysis , they seem to get it right, but then they see it from 20 angles to back that up, the ref only sees it from one
