I like sturridge, but i'd take a powerful CF any time, give those usually frail foreign defences a hard time.

Yep, that does look good. TBH I don't even consider Lampard, Gerrard, Ferdinand in my thoughts anymore

Yeah, shame he doesnt really work very well as a wide player in a front 3, only ever seen him play well as a centre forward. Was surprised how good Welbeck is when I watched him as well, lots of potential.

If only Carroll wasnt so ****e he could spearhead that team.

I would consider Agbonlahor aswell - probably on the left side of the striker though

Aye he's outperforming Bent at the moment, offers more overall as well I'd say. Would be easier to pick a team if you had a list of the national pool, you always forget someone!

    Might as well do mine-

    -----------------------Hart-----------------------
    Richards-----Jagielka--------Taylor---------Baines
    -------------Wilshere-------Milner----------------
    Raylor----------------Johnson--------------Young
    ----------------------Agbonlahor--------------------

Jagielka and Taylor just two solid CBs. Baines as i just prefer him, feel he'd have that bit more passion for the team than Cole. Richards is performing well at the moment. Wilshere could be the more defensive of the DMs with Milner able to push up and attack a bit more like he's doing for City. Johnson and Young are just good players and i feel Raylor would work well with Richards overlapping, also his free kick abilities would be useful with Young in the team getting cheap free kicks left right and centre. Agbonlahor as he just seems to be full of running for Villa and is a decent finisher.

I'd take Grant Holt, look at the trouble he caused the top defences so far this season, because he's powerful. And he doesn't have a gay ponytail either.

I know yeah - Aaron Lennon, Stewart Downing on form would be good options. Of course Scotty Parker is usually reliable. Smalling at the back would have a chance

Trust me, Wilshere doesn't work as a DM. We have Alex Song for that. Wilshere doesn't stay back.

I'm unsure - I think he is decent, but I reckon he isn't out and out defensive midfielder like Tiote (hands off Tiote lol)

    Hart
    Richards Smalling Saylor Baines
    Milner Frimpong Wilshere Young
    Rooney
    Holt

    Explanation
Smalling looks like a great defender to me, or at least he will be in a couple of years. Saylor I'm biased. Frimpong and Wilshere will know each other from Arsenal. Rooney in his best position, deeper than CF. Holt gives strength up front without encouraging the long ball like Carroll does. Out with the old and in with the new for me.

Despite his teams blithering inadequacy I thought Welbeck looks a decent prospect. Mainly because of that amazing pace - him and Sturridge are great options.

I'm fairly sure you're talking about Bryan Ruiz...

Hardly hidden away was he, he's played for Feyenoord, Real Madrid and the Netherlands.

No chance, he called him a blind ****.

Full marks for observation, sir. Would you like to manage England after the **** currently in charge quits?

For the love of God, NO.

    Is that grammatically correct? :emoticon-0112-wonde

Are you ill, thick or ******ed? What an awful team. Pick that bunch of clowns, no-hopes and near-foetal players and we'll end up somewhere near Wales in the World Rankings (below Iran, Senegal and Venezuela)

Ooh, you naughty racist. Don't make comments like that on this board or you'll have all kinds of accusations made against you.

    1) Even if he did call him a 'black ****', why should he be dropped? It's not as if he raped and killed a disabled kid.

    2) Why drop the best centre-half we currently have just so we can continue playing a **** player like Ferdinand? Get that giraffe-faced **** out of the side altogether, he's ****ing awful. Vidic has been carrying him for at least 12 months and days like today only highlight that.

You kids play far too much Football Manager. Ryan Taylor is an average player, much like his namesake Steven.
