Having slept on it I have to say that in my opinion, the greatest performance of the season was Many Clouds win in the Cotswold Chase. Not because of the tragic footnote, but because I think it was the best staying chase performance of the season bar none.

Well, Fenster, it's nice to see Scotland win something, at last. Seriously, very happy for Lucinda and her team; real triers. Scotland's not the best place in the world to train racehorses, often wondered if they had to import good grass (no, not that 'grass') up there, as there certainly seems to be a lot of thistles around?

Mick, you will see more "of course, it was a sub-par renewal" -like comments on this forum than anywhere else. Just not true and mean-minded most of the time.

Altior doing what he done to Fox Norton at Newbury surely was the best pound for pound performance, and Buvuer Dair was electric in the Champion Hurdle, on a par with the best winners of that race for a long time imo, can set your watch by The New One and My Tent, good yardsticks

Thistlecrack was good in the King George but Conti and Cue Card were both well on the downgrade

Is that lap-dancing club still open in Cheltenham?

    Excuse the mild artistic license!

Stumbled (?) in during one of my visits to 'Trials Day' at the end of January a few years ago. Strangely I could not find it again; was it a dream?

Gents, here is a puzzle for you, the gentlemens club were driving around Cheltenham during the festival promoting themselves. But what song were they using for this promotion?
