Thought long and hard.. .don't laugh ;).... has to be bassett as he singlehandedly wrecked our team and led to a good div 1 side... and we were.... getting relegated. In the history of WFC that has to be the worst...

Yes, me thinks you're right. Bassett single handedly tore apart a team, and did so deliberately. Whilst we may question others, and Baz seems to be getting a lot of votes, I don't think any of them have actually set out to rip the heart out of the place.

However it needs to be remembered he offered Wimbledon £1m of Elton's money for Vinny Jones in October 1987, and that really was a lot of money for any club and would have shattered our previous record.

mmm, not sure how to answer that? Suffice to say Baz has an agenda and I don't like it. Cowie could be included in part of the "fire sale" as his salary will be released from the budget, and according to football rules Watford must have offered him more money to re-sign for us.

Part of my cursing over Cowie is I actually had the information to hand that he was available on a free transfer. I wonder what people would have said if I'd spread the word.

As for Watford having any comeback on his transfer to Cardiff, I can't see any. Cowie clearly turned down contract offer(s) from Watford, so on 30th June he became a free agent. I am highly surprised that no-one at Watford had announced this fact - and also the Watford Observer.

What I do know is Watford have just 11 players who have made more than 5 league starts for the club. Statistically this is the weakest Watford team by a country mile - EVER. I challange anyone to put a positive spin on that fact.

What is his agenda and how do you know what it is? Prove it or stop spouting hot air.

Under no sensible interpretation of fire sale can Cowie be said to part of a 'fire-sale' your own explanation above demonstrates this, he clearly wasn't sold. Unless you also know the terms of his contract, and the wording of the clause in question, you are speculating. If the option which GT spoke about (have you read that report yet?) was drafted so that we had an option to sign him for an extra year, and it was solely for us to exercise, then if we wanted to exercise it, he has no say; we have a contract with him. As I have said elsewhere, it comes down to the exact wording of the clause. Additionally, unless the clause stipulated that he would get better terms then none needed to be offered.

I went for Adolf - only because I can't see someone like Malky Mackay or Brendan Rogers get more votes than him - I don't think that would reflect very well on us, if you know what I mean  ?

Bassett is the worst on there apart from that, though. And I include Genghis Khan in that .

I went for Adolf too - in this day and age of the multi-ball game, he'd be like a fish out of water and would be too embarrassed to say anything.

Apart from that, he could only speak German in a ranting, spittle-driven manner - not sure I like my coffee flavoured like that.

But if he wasn't on the list, I'd have to go for the Liquorice Allsort.

I quite like Genghis Khan - try reading the Conn Iggulden stories and then say you don't like him :)

There are some pretty "mixed up" characters on the list, which I guess is why I went for Hitler - although the old Olympic stadium did have a certain aura to it.

But it seems I have been asked to provide indisputable evidence that "our Larry" is a bad lad. Don't you worry Bradley (and his pa) Bazini is a "complete clown" according to a good friend of mine who's had dealings with him, and somehow I don't want a clown running Watford FC. He is capable of damaging the club in an irreparable way, and that is my objection.

In summary when a new owner slinks into the club like a slimeball (ex small time property developer, ex car wash operator) with no assets of his own I don't trust him. I have not yet seen any good news coming from his direction, and yet he's been "in post" for too long.

Bertir Basset for me the start of the slide...... Terrible manager never bought into the Watford philosophy and was gone within six months. Good bye..... In the new book Enjoy the Game Bassets wife will never ever come into Watford area again. Oh well there was some good news to come from that six month spell at the home of football.

No, that isn't what I asked. Have a read again. I asked what his agenda was which you assert he has. He may well have some sinister agenda for all I know. He may well be a front for someone. However, I don't know as I have no facts to support any such assertions; I could be like yourself and state stuff as matter of fact but I prefer to deal with ascertainable evidence. If I can't, I state it is just an opinion. If you look back at various threads I have questioned his motives and everything as well. For the record, in my opinion, there is something not quite right about it all from what we do know. However, the structure of the deal, and other facts, leads me to think that it really can't be in his own interests to ruin the club and have us relegated/put into administration.

My issue, though is with you using the departure of those who have gone as clear proof of his shadiness - it isn't; and making facts up. To be honest, I bored of this now.
