I have also ashamed to say that I have met and shaken hands with Harry RedKrapp. I am still in shock and waking regularly
I once stood in a queue at the check in Owen Owen next to my hero and couldn't pluck up the courage to say "Hello Mr Davies that was a brilliant hat trick you scored on Saturday".
My cousin was mates with craig david, used to play footy with him. Met Jordan and as the person above shes ****ing rough. Darren Anderton is also my uncle
Shared a lift with Jaidi and Guly a couple months back in John Lewis at West Quay. Fred Dineage and Jo Tessem came to my primary school once upon a time. Went to London last year, didn't realise this but just happened to be the Inbetweeners movie premiere on, half an hour later I was shaking hands with the entire cast!
I saw Jim Bowen in a jazz club in London, he got up and started singing with the band. Afterwards my mate goes over and tells Jim "that was super, smashing, lovely that singing Jim" to which Bowen replied "**** off you prick"......
I bumped into Ken Livingstone in Cheddar Caves once. Actually I've met a few reasonably well-known people in backstage bars at Glastonbury where I do a voluntary job. David Mitchell was one of them, but the most memorable was Phil Jupitus. They usually have a band playing in the backstage bar and Phil got up and sang a version of Billy Bragg's "Sexuality" reworked as "Bestiality" with Billy Bragg playing guitar. One of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Robbie Keane pretty much tripped up over me at B,ham airport last Tue. Wast lookin where he was going as he seemed to be having a domestic with some blonde with a pram I assume is his bird. Was heading for Aer Lingus flight to Dublin from gate 40 while i was heading for my peasant flight to Dublin with Ryanair
ive met all the saints squad... outside the stadium about an hour after the match..LOL I saw someone from the Bill once
I've also had a kick about in their back garden with Le God and Alan Ball at Bally's grandson's birthday! Immense!
Ted Bates! When I was 14. Also ... Frank Worthington, Duncan McKenzie, Gareth Edwards, Gareth Davies, Gareth Chilcott, Bill (Bearders) Frindall, all photo subjects at Lord's Taverners.(I missed Johnners!) Had a good chat with Frank about Lawrie Mac and that team. Gareth Chilcott was brilliant company and a good after dinner speaker.
Ok, a fairly eclectic mix who you wouldn't necessarily see in the same sentence. Back in the 1980s I used to work for a well-known electrical retailer and I sold; A tape recorder to Bill Pertwee (Dads Army) A camera to David Icke A Walkman to Andrew Sachs and A handheld game to Michael Barrymore. Apologies to those under 40 who have never of any of them!
