I can sympathise with Carroll and Suarez. I managed to get two tickets for 2006 FA Cup Final at the last minute - via the West Ham club doctor (you can guess where this is heading.) Amidst one of the most fantastic games I have ever been to (well towards the close of the game, anyway...), my mate and I had to sit among a whole load of Happy Hammers, who were totally convinced they were going to win the game.

We both managed to bite our lips as the end of the game unfolded, including a useful shot from Stevie G at the close (!), but as we got to the penalties I couldn't control myself any longer. As Anton Ferdinand's penalty was saved I shouted out 'Reina, you ****ing beauty....' at the top of my voice - and the game was up.

Thankfully, we were sat among a bunch of great blokes who, to a man, were capable of seeing the funny side and shook our hands as they left the stadium. Credit to West Ham.

Also, as an aside, I remember on the way out of the ground, we were strolling among the Hammers fans and as we came to a street corner, we were faced with a huge crowd of LFC fans - who immediately started a round of applause for the opposing fans, who generously did the same in return. Nice touch at the end of a great day out.

I, about two/three years ago, went to Anfield to watch Liverpool vs Bolton... in the Liverpool stands!

Well we got beat 2/3-0, and it was the worst time as a football fan, and the most embarrasing thing, as when you lot scored the 2nd goal, I forgot to stand up and stayed in my seat as all the people around me (I was with a mate who support Liverpool) stood up and cheered. There was about 20 people who said something along the lines of 'Is he even watching?'

    Never again. <laugh>,

    Good KOP Red KOP.
You're after reminding me of something with regards to the 2006 final.
I was taunted by a Leeds fan over that..that Alan Pardew was going to the last English manager to win the FA Cup...3 minutes of injury time..Gerrard....35 yards out...whack.I had a smile on my face that didn't disappear for a while...I got taunted with ''I'm forever blowing bubbles'' my retort was ''You're forever talking rubbish''.
    Brilliant feeling that was.

I admit it... i tried to buy everton for a packet of monster munch and a can of coke before bill kenwright got his hands on it.

embaressing yes but i only had the best interests of the city at heart.... I felt selling them on at a future date (like now) for a packet of polos and perhaps even a red bull would represent good business....

deluded? yes but not as deluded as a lettuce dressed up as a a fruit salad
