    Agreed. There were a ton of bands around that were better than them. They just rode the wave of a popularity in british indie pop music

    Quite simple. Like him or loathe him, Noel Gallagher writes fantastic songs. Still does. I'm in the loathe him camp, but you can't deny the talent.

    Oasis were a good band, they just stood on the shoulders of those who came before them.

    Yeah I'm not saying Oasis weren't popular, they were massive. I just think they rode of the shoulders of those who came before them.
