We live in one of the most tolerant nations in the world and the Muslim community is a very much a part of our Nation. I would though, like to see the British Muslim community embrace that democracy by openly shouting for equal rights for women, openly shouting for the right of female children to have an education, openly shouting for all faiths to be allowed to have a place of worship where they live and not be in fear of violence. That is not apparent in a lot of Muslim nations, in fact many Muslim nations are very intolerant to any other faiths, which is why so many other faiths are very wary of them. Lets face it, we all should be tolerant of other faiths, because the only words supposedly spoken by God have (correct me if I'm wrong) been stated by men, (mainly, a few women have been allowed a say) so who knows who is right?
I would especially like to see that, when two men decide to crash their car into an innocent man, completely unknown to them and brutally hack him to death, everyone of a right mind to be utterly appalled and to condemn those men as unadulterated murderers with no mitigating circumstances. Mr Choudary is allowed to give his opinion (hay, that's democracy) but what will the Muslim community do about him preaching his views to their children?
I am not of the colour white and believe in peace and love, does that make me a white supremist?

Wearside is where 'home' will always be for me, but there are many here who live elsewhere and some integrate with the community and many culturally isolate themselves and complain about
- cheese,
- and whatever isn't available at the local supermarket,
- the staff: yes, in many countries they have maids -and they still winge about them,
- or they recount riveting tales about about stupid locals because they don't speak English without thinking they've been there for quite a while and barely speak a bean of the host's language.

They also display of cultural enclave and fail to understand local customs and poeple around them mutually support their western paradigm, be it British, Irish, German, American Australian or etc. The curious thing is that a group of these people in one country occupy a moneyed elite and in another, such as the UK the lower classes.

The EDL and the BNP have been in woolwich since this terrible murder...spreading their racist filth...is it fair for me to demand to know what the white christian community are going to do about them preaching their views to their children...in a borough of london that has had 3 racist murders of teenage school students in the area? I don't think the "white community" is responsible for hate filled animals spreading lies hate and fear...and encouraging racist attacks (which is exactly what the BNP and EDL do)... All of us are responsible for our own actions only, not the actions of others who are cruel or disgusting who happen to share our faith, skin colour, team nationality or football.

No worries I know you were not and I never implied all Muslims are responsible for what has gone on. Yes, the BNP and the EDL have their meetings as do the extremist Muslims, where they try to justify their view of the world to each other I was under the impression,though that Mr Choudary preaches in a Mosque, to all that go to the Mosque.
I still have concerns about the way women within the Muslim world are so badly treated and how female children are not allowed education (or are shot if they try) so lets hear the Muslim community really embrace democracy as you seem too.
