Easier, he's pants. Chelsea knew it and now it's confirmed. 20 goals this season. What's HE smoking????
Moses is our one winger who can actually run at defenders with pace and force the issue. Yes - he will lose the ball but at least he tries things and for that, I will have some level of respect. I think he needs a chance - at the end of the day, without Sturridge, we're seriously short of pace up top.
I'm not a fan but thought he was worth a loan, at this point I'm not so sure. After last week I'd rather Alberto be given a full game up top with Suarez on one side and Ibe on the other.
Personally, the problem wasn't necessarily with Sterling and Moses. Yes, they weren't amazing but they received no support from the midfield - there was no link whatsoever. Henderson does not have this in his locker and Gerrard only delivers from set pieces or wide areas. Get in a real play maker who will get the best out of these players.l
Most creative wingers like Luis Garcia will get a one in eight or ten success rate. However, Moses seems to be more of a one in twenty type of guy. Has anyone seen him cross yet?
Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying he's a world beater but outside of the Holy Trinity that is Suarez, Sturridge and Coutinho, he is the best we've got. On a side note - Coutinho and Suarez should be enough to see us through against the smaller teams - I maintain that in order for our attack to be fluid, we need 2 out of those 3 mentioned above.
Of course the problem wasn't those individuals, it was the managers fault for picking them! However, you could add that he had little choice considering the squad options. I knew as soon as I saw the line-up that we'd be struggling. I expected us to under perform before I knew about Sturridge and Coutinho!
I've always thought Moses was a completely average player. He looked alright at Wigan, but that's about his level. No idea why Chelsea or Liverpool were interested in him. Mind boggles.
I'm surprised that Moses has bombed for you so far tbh. I thought he was a good loan signing, as he always looked a class above at Wigan & when called on last season, always did Ok for Chelsea.
He reminds me a bit of Adam Johnson. Played well for Boro where expectation was low, then went to City where he'd normally come on when teams were stretched and play 30 minutes and really shine. Only then when he got a run in the first team from the start he looked average again and out of his depth. Moses seems to be similar. Looked good for Chelsea but that was normally coming off the bench towards the end of games where they were winning anyway. I personally thought he'd be a decent signing and give us more options out wide, but I don't think playing 3 or 4 games in the number 10 role helped him as he's not good enough to play in that position. Certainly not going to write him off just yet but he needs to make an impact when he plays if he has any hope of staying with us. Otherwise he'll go back to Chelsea and no doubt be sold/loaned out to a lower Prem club next year.
