I think Harry was wise to play him when he did and the lad is still young. A steal to get him at this price. Worth a gamble. A few games for us he made the difference. Would be fun to see a bit a dazzle from him - even if not every game.

This is exactly what I was thinking reading this.

Although QPR fans have started to get used to bigger sums of money for transfers, thats a decent amount for a newly promoted team imo. and those wages are even higher especially when you consider everything else.

Doesnt sound like bad bussiness to me. Worst case is we sell him in a few years for the same amount.
could be a good addition at that age. Not sure about his personality off the field but always appearedt o try when he played.

Hang on a minute, in the summer after Southampton came up, they spent 7mill on Jay Rodriguez, and 12mill on Gaston Ramirez. Nobody batted an eyelid.
A premier league side spending 3.5 mill on a talented 21 year old is good value these days, I'm afraid. I'm not sure what QPR being newly promoted has to do with anything though? This will be our 3rd season out of the last 4 in the prem.

For the record, Andy's the only person in this thread who's mentioned 40k. I've no idea where he got that figure from
