Morning all, Happy Birthday Elland mate <cheers>

Looking forward to getting back to some football at the weekend, haven't enjoyed the internationals very much!

Nothing to enjoy LiD, played two teams with contrasting tactics and we were made to look very poor, all those prima donars crying off with injuries, they would never play again if i had my way. Hodgson is a joke, ask any scouser!!!
We shall get a right seeing to in Brazil, piss poor, plus i am knackered as i stayed up to watch it.....never again.

Same as you, looking forward to the weekend and hope we can pick up where we left off.

First match was around 1975 at West Ham, my dad took me in what was then the infamous chicken run, and there was a cockney wide boy right in front of us swearing at the ref all through the game. Looking back, my dad, a big strapping Geordie who was used to Sunderland/Newcastle games from the 50's and not averse to a bit of banter, must've cringed being with his son wearing Leeds colours in the West Ham end, but he never said, bless him.

West Ham took the lead, Duncan McKenzie equalised, and the best player on the pitch was the then 31 year old Norman Hunter <ok>

Many Happy Returns elland, good one!! Agree, can't wait for LiD's next matchday thread, beats the international break hands down!

Fave games I've attended are: Leeds 1-0 Scum (Kewell header) and Leeds 1-1 Barcelona (Rivaldo last second equaliser) ... wow, those performances were immense!!

It'll be coming to you live tomorrow morning, and with more stats than usual! (nerd...)

Whhooppppp, whhooop, Elland is 40 today,

How are we???

Not much on the agenda today, so, lets look back through some history.

On this fateful day 9 years ago, Brian Deane was the last player (apart from McCormack two weeks ago) to score four goals in one game, when Leeds thrashed QPR back in 2004...

Did you also know that yesterday was the anniversary our our 4-3 away win at Southampton, when we were 3-0 down with only 20 minutes to go. An inspired substitution by Kevin Blackwell putting David Healey on, led our come back.

I remember the game like it was yesterday.

Here are the highlights...

What is your most memorable game, and why?

Have you ever got, or nearly got thrown out of a football ground? If so, we want to hear details?

Happy birthday Elland, have a good one...<ok>

Last second... and some :emoticon-0158-time:<steam>

Although we've gone from seriously late goals versus Barcelona to late goals versus reading. The opposition may have changed but the same things always tend to come back around!
