t has today been reported that Leicester City are considering a move for free agent Matthew Upson, but face competition for his services from Leeds United and Brighton and Hove Albion.


The former England international has 21 caps to his name and spent last season on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion. However, a return to Brighton may be unlikely following the suspension of Gus Poyet.


Leicester City have a hole at the center of their back four following Michael Keane's return to Manchester United at the end of his loan spell, and may see the experienced Upson as the perfect replacement.


However, if reports are true Leicester will face stern competition for the signature of the 34 year old from Leeds United and Brighton and Hove Albion among others.
