What a bloody awful day, its tipping down with rain, cold and windy. Damn English weather.....

According to the scratching shed, confidence in Ken Bates is on the up, why ???? <yikes>

GFH Capital claim they have not been in direct contact with LUST (Leeds United Supporters’ Trust) about their plans to take over the football club.
The Dubai-based company have issued a joint statement with Leeds in an attempt to clarify matters regarding the ongoing speculation about their move to buy United.
LUST gave a cautious welcome to the proposed takeover by GFH Capital – which is a wholly owned subsidiary of investment bank Gulf Finance House – in a statement on Monday evening following reported discussions.
 
Why oh why do we knock people when they are trying their best for the supporters,How do we know that Bates hasn,t instigated this statement to belittle LUST I wouldn,t put anythinjg past that leech.I will judge thye matter when we know the true facts until then I will still trust our true fans

LUST was a great idea, i was a member, but they have been a disgrace all sorry.

People are blinded by their hatred of Bates, and cant see what LUST have been doing.

Instead of trying to want to run the club, they should have done what a supporters group, should do, and look after the fans and the best interests of the them.

I hate Bates, and anyone whos been going on board like Here, ja and the old BBC, know this and know that was one of the first to really go for him.

I hate the guy with a passion, more than most.

I joined Lust about 18 months ago, I believed in everything, and loved they were going about things.

THen this summer, gary cooper (when was last time he had a season ticket by the way ?) has just gone ego mad.

The statements demanded things, is just the worst things i have seen.
 
I wonder if GC was just out manipulated. As in, certain people (genuinely) close to the buyers feeding him stuff that was half true, half boll ox (a classic approach of anyone trying to use disinformation), then when Bates - who is no mug, whatever else we may say about him - got annoyed that he suspected GFH were leaking some stuff, made his own statements, and GFH and Bates patched it up and issued their joint statement, cutting GC's legs from underneath him.

Just another theory, based like everyone elese on sweet FA actual information ;) - I suggest it because, if GC really was just makings stuff up, he is really VERY inept. So maybe he was not.

If true, it still does not put GC in a good light, you need someone in that role who is smart enough not to be manipulated.



Oh, and thombob, don't discourage LIW with his JA606 mates, I am hoping he wil entice some of his special freiends to join us here. Since I was banned on JA for totally taking the piss there, I really miss some of the JA606 stars, like Eric Onion for example. You do not know what you are missing here................

I must admit to shutting the hell up recently regarding LUST. I am no longer blindly backing them, although I back there intentions 100% something&#8217;s up. I doubt GC is making stuff up, why would he? Either way, common sense says back off and watch how this one pans out as I doubt it will affect the long game.

Everyone just needs to calm down and enjoy the good patch of results we are having on the pitch.

And I couldn&#8217;t think of anything worse than having Eric Onion posting over here could you? EH? <laugh>
 
LIW i'm also a member of the trust and i don't agree with all they do, their last statement saying they had spoken to reps of GFH was asking for trouble it played straight into Bates hands. With the end game according to both GFH and Bates almost upon us i didn't think there was a need to say anything at all. They have though and the trust must have got their info from someone, i don't believe they are lying to us,what have they to gain from lies other than the reaction they are getting now?
The joint statement was telling all the media not just lust to back off and let them get the deal done,GFH have had so much **** thrown at them lately there is no wonder they have spoken out. Hopefully the trust will not respond and let the deal get done so we can get rid of old pissy pants. Maybe then we can finally find out the truth as to what has gone on and move on. TOMA and Bates has totally f**ked our heads good and proper.

My opinion is that LUST claiming to know / introduce the investors was never quite the case. I think it was more stupidity than malice that made GC take responsibility for things that he knew little about. Once people assumed they knew things it must have been hard to point out the truth that they were actually as clueless as the rest of us.

They have the chance to tell all now, with their side of the story etc.

If they were telling porky pies, Bates and GFH could have outed them long ago...

So the real question is why now..?
What have LUST figured out or gained access to recently...?
Why does Bates need to undermine them now...?
Or is it just a distraction to stop us looking too deeply at GFH and their lack of money / board members...?
