i guess i see it as a bit disappointing we are leeds utd and surely we should be attracting some of the best young talent around outside the premiership just seems a 34 year old is a bit of a let down
Well, i dont think you will be too disapointed when you see him play a couple of times I obviously know a few Pompey fans who really rate the lad. I think its a bit of a coup considering we are targeting freebies!
He's EXACTLY what we need! What we really lacked last season was 1. Experience: We often looked lost as we lacked both experience and a real leader (besides Howson who's more a leads by example kind of captain). and 2. A DM. Brown is the perfect player to sit in front of the defence and add some steel and experience to the midfield. We were all saying how great a signing he'd be in January, why has that all changed now we don't actually have to spend any money on him?
Nothings changed Simon, as you said he is exactlly what we need & bloomin good at this level as well. This will enable our 'flair players' to really go for it down the wings. This is the fix we have needed for a a whole season where we have tried to smash square pegs in round holes to fix the glaring problem. Stick a fit Kissa somewhere behind him & we are starting to get a solid team

been there and done it and still has the ability. age is but a number, we should all know that. 35 is piss all. If he has a good injury record then he can run as fast and as far as a 21 year old. It`s more wear and tear issues in pro sport but if he has been looked after by previous clubs then it simply won`t be a problem. Look at Marlon Devonish yesterday 10.19 in 100m, if you can do it you can do it, end of.
