Actually I was being serious, and I was hoping people would be mature enough to know the difference between funny, light-hearted banter and crossing a boundary, which I have clearly marked. I don't appreciate being called a kid because it's patronising and I don't like being patronised.
You may not appreciate but its actually a term of endearment from me as much as I call the older one old codgers, old man, old lady etc, I call people my age or younger kiddo (I actually call some people who are older kiddo) it’s a term of affection from one to another. I try and be nice to people and if I think you know what they are sound enough, I call them darling, I call them kiddo, sweetness etc but **** it. you aren’t worth it. From me its not being patronising or I don’t mean it that way. That’s your chip on your shoulder to take it that way.
Oh that makes more sense As for that reaction, it was a little unneccessary. All I did was ask nicely and in a civilised manner to not do something because I don't like it. I haven't yelled, lost my rag or even fallen out with you over it, I have simply asked you not to. There's absolutely no reason to take it personally.

I did nothing of the sort, or not intentionally. That is a misinterpretation of what I have said and as such is exactly the same as what you claim I have done, misinterpreted your meaning. I did not intend to give that impression and if I have then I am sorry, all I intended to do was draw a line and say don't cross it. Took me years to figure out that's the best way to deal with someone who does something I don't like. The next step is to shut them out, which I most certainly would not like to do.
