Woodsy, a few months ago, I got told by a lesta fan, that he wanted to come back as hitler, so he could 'gas me', and hoping that I would die in a car accident. None of that was warrented,unfortunately, people may say things before thinking about it properly.
Well he sounds like a nice person!! Hope u politely told him to f*ck off! Just don't think I cud eva hate enough to wish death on another human being! Let alone to hope they suffer a horrific terminal illness!! To actually think it is bad enough but to say it out loud or write it down is just vile! completely agree that he takes more than he gives and for that he is a tool! However (agen just my opinion) but if he did spend a few million on premier players then how long wud it be b4 Snoddy, Becs, Rossy, Clayton and so forth believe they shud be paid the same! If sum1 was paid double the amount I got for essentially the same job I'd be lookin elsewhere for a job! It's a vicious never ending circle! Also if the money was spent, ther is no guarantee they wud all gel and cud be worse for morale! Meanin worse off than 7th! Keepin everyone on a similar wage structure (payin fees for them) surely is sensible!???! Altho I can see ur argument I just don't think it's as black n white as sum uvas make out it is!! Think we hav the quality in the first teamers! If we cud just sort out the inconsistency and strengthen the depth of the squad! I truly believe we cud contend for autos! Despite Uncle Ken! It could be, but it's better to try to get rid of devils altogether. People are constantly buying out clubs smaller than us and we're probably the most attractive proposition outside the Premiership. One of the most attractive in European football. So I'm not really worried about the future when Bates leaves in whatever way.
Leeds is a one club city, we have a massive fan base already (although Bates' is slowly killing it) and are apparently debt free. If someone was looking to buy a club, and Leeds was available for purchase, why wouldn't they buy us?
I'm not refuting we aren't a gud prospect to potential buyers! I just worry if sum1 did buy us and cud make things ten times worse! Suppose it'd b a gamble! But is it one worthwhile takin just to get rid of him!???! Just to reiterate I'm neither anti or pro him! But u can't dispute he must be pretty gud (coupled with rather dodgy) in his business dealings to hav made his millions! Wud another owner really change things for the better! I'm unsure!!!

Not sure about that Leeds18. Arsenal's is a new stadium, so they couldn't miss calling it Highbury (because it isn't). They had no history at Ashburton Grove so they can't miss calling it that either. It opened as The Emirates stadium so that's what it is. Most other 'corporate stadiums' are also new ones. Can't think of any long established grounds that have sold the naming rights so it's difficult to say whether the fans would get used to it or not. Middlesbrough's new ground was briefly the Cellnet stadium or something like that and it's now the Riverside.
