It's hard to comprehend how Leeds have become such an embarrassment. In the past 18 months you've had the 4-6 against Preston, 0-5 against Blackpool and 3-7 against Forest. Most teams have games/performances like that once every 7/8 years. Without serious investment, I wouldn't bet against another similar result at Elland Road before the end of the year. I have a lot of friends who support Leeds, both at home in Beverley and in my current little village just outside of your fine city, but I've become that used to you being raped by **** opponents that I didn't make a single comment to one of them. Another example: your Cup game against Man United in September was cringeworthy to behold. Two sides who were competing at the top of English football barely a decade ago, and then they turn up with a B-team (Ezekiel Fryers? Ben Amos? Mame Biram Diouf? WTF?) and tear you a new one and have the game wrapped-up before you've even played 45 minutes. The atmosphere was dreadful from both sets of fans, especially considering the apparent magnitude of the game, and as for the 10,000 empty seats... LUFC are, albeit in a different way, as much of a laughing stock as they were when relegated from this Division in 2006/2007. I'm not saying that in an attempt to be funny (after all, how many fans of other clubs on this site have defended you like I have?), but to give you a perspective from the outside that isn't simply a piss-take.
