Over 25k for a midweek game = 32k Saturday afternoon game = 12th man = better performance = more wins
Phew. Keeps the season going anyway. Nice to win in front of a decent crowd. Sometimes these incentivised matches backfire.
Wouldn't it be nice with Haigh or Patel were to highlight their appreciation for the crowd, and announce reductions every other match
got to be careful with reducing ticket prices. There's a risk of pissing off the season ticket holders who paid a fortune. Of course, they could reflect any reductions in season ticket renewals.
They stated they would factor this in to next seasons ST prices when they announced the cheap tickets.
That's because I was still wearing that gimp mask you made me try out on Tuesday night. Don't tell Jock - he gets jealous.
In India. Just got up and decided to scroll through the match forum to gte a feel for what happened in the game instead of looking for the score. Sounds like a good game, a great crowd, a good victory. Just wondering where the cuddly cubs are?
"If you brought another manager in I couldn't see him getting more out of those players than you saw tonight." Who said that? The manager, of course. Sounds like he is fighting for his job and the new owners are pretty disillusioned with him
Wouldn't say he's fighting for his job Sheldon. He's already made it very clear that if we don't get promotion he's walking when his contract expires in a few weeks time. The main thought on here has been whether or not he should walk now to allow the new man time to look at the squad & make the minor alterations that will see us walk auto next season. After last night, I still think we'll come up short. But it was soooo much better than recent performances. And the crowd were in good voice too. One Swallow a summer doth not make. And one win against a currently struggling 'pool team a season doth not make. But were we to win & play well against Blackburn on Saturday & Middlesborough/Brighton were to struggle, top 6 suddenly becomes a possibility again.
