i was referring to the comment 'I wish some of you lot would wake up and smell the coffee. Morison was an early season flash in the pan' which is totally daft. i agree we need to strengthen the squad but the way some fans lambast our players is astonishing. they've all done brilliantly this season - just cos one has dropped in form does not make him crap. hoolahan has been very disappointing but we should still try to keep him because he is effective in some games - likewise morison is our best striker when played up front on his own. why reduce our options, why not increase them? people are too quick to jump to conclusions...

It's standard psychology. Back the player, they feel good, they play well. Boo the player, they feel bad, their performance drops.

i've said it numerous times - morison is a confidence player. he's only human - he's one of those guys who needs an arm round his shoulder and to be told he's great. so how is slagging him off, booing him, making up rumours about his private life and generally just dissing him going to help? why not drive him out of the club and watch a different set of fans appreciate him?

    idiots.

he's a norwich player and until such time he isn't, he should have everyones full backing <ok>

From an outsider, its seems as though his performances aren't that good in training, did any of you read the piece in the sun on saturday when Elliott Bennett said about how Morison has been voted the worse trainer the most times?

BTW, i know i slag you off a few times, but reading that piece it does sound that you have fantastic team spirit in the old crazy gang style. I just wish we could be a bit more like that.

<cheers> Thanks for that guru. I think Morison being picked on is more down to having a laugh rather than bad performances. But I think a car like that is enought motivation to keep everyone on their toes!

i thought he said holt was worst trainer?! either way, constant criticism is bound to affect his performances on the pitch. imagine sitting at your desk with a few numpties standing behind you, shouting abuse at you while you try and do your job... i know its not quite the same thing but people get affected to different levels by morons like those giving him endless stick. i've even seen a fan in the barclay get up and leave with twenty minutes to go because lambert brought morison on <doh>

of course, he then created a chance for someone to score and the fan missed it...

No, it was definately Morison. At the end of the day, surely if he is so affected by the fans reactions, surely the players should try to get his confidence up, not knock it even further!

These fans need to look at some of the strikers we've had in the past. Then they will appreciate Morison more. You're not a bad player if you can out score Suarez, Carroll and Torres either!

no, the 'worst trainer' tag is a in-club joke award. its nothing serious, just they make the loser drive around in a clapped out car and make fun of them for a week, something along those lines. if anything, it sounds like they are trying to get him involved more within the group. we've got quite a lot of big characters in that dressing room and i imagine it could be quite daunting for a quiet, restrained personality to break through. maybe thats been part of the problem, who knows <ok>

Fans/supporters have every right to vent their feelings, whether you agree with the way it's done or not, we pay to watch and spend our cash going to matches, therefore we have an investment in what goes on, and to be told that if we don't agree with Morison fans, we aren't true supporters and should stay away is insulting. I'll tell you what, you ****ING well stay away, because I think I'm a real fan who wants the best for the team and the best players playing in it!
I keep seeing and reading that Morison is a "confidence" player and needs to be and feel supported, he needs a arm round his shoulder etc, for ****s sake, how old is he?? 12 or something, shall we hire a psychologist to run round on the pitch with him giving him encouragement? He knows by now full well why he gets the negative attention he does, and it's up to him to sort it out! How much longer can he live on goals that he scored earlier in the season or how well he played earlier in the season, it's gone, just about everything written is about the past with him. I agree with Kickitoff, he needs to smell the coffee, wake up and do his job!
Swearing at the people who pay his wages is disgraceful!

I think they're both good enough for sure. Wilbraham is the one player I have NEVER felt let down watching, and Morrison has shown many times this season he is DEFINATLEY good enough.

And I remember David Fox saying that 'watching Grant Holt in training, you'd think he never scored a goal' but nobody ever turns their back on him!

As long as Morrison is that yellow shirt and giving his all (Which he has done EVERY game!) then I and everyone else should continue (Or start in some cases!) to support him!

FFS so if you went to the theatre and someone fluffed their lines you'd start booing them would you? Honestly I keep reading your posts about how long you've been a fan blah blah blah but it just doesn't come across that way. Booing a whole team doing badly is one thing but booing individuals is to be honest well ****ing out of order!!

Ever heard of bullying in the workplace? OK so we're not employees but there's the parallel...

Footballers are privileged. They earn very good money and receive many perks and finally the adoration of their supporters.
For that they have to put in the proverbial "good shift". Morison had a decent start to the season but now is nothing more than a passenger. If he has off field problems then tough, many of the people who go to the game have problems and illnesses and they get on with it and still turn up for work.
Taking stick from supporters (not personal matters) goes with the territory, even your own supporters at times, and if you can't handle that then you should think about another profession. I didn't see Lennon or Van der Vaart reacting when getting terrible abuse at QPR on Saturday.
Morison isn't that good and can be replaced. Wilbraham is not a Premier League striker by any stretch of the imagination despite the effort he puts in and we appear to be in a situation where you aren't allowed to criticise any player at the club despite them having a crap performance. What are you supposed to say to Surman after Saturday? Well played mate! Well at least you tried! No! You think to yourself "for fcuks sake Andrew, you're crap today so why are you still on the pitch"!

Another one, no one is saying don't criticise but there's no need to boo and rant at individual players during a match. Canary Call, this forum, EDP, Pink un are for venting your frustrations NOT during a match when the players are doing their best on a given day playing a formation and strategy set by the MANAGER

just because a footballer 'enjoys' a privileged lifestyle does not mean they 'enjoy' their job! neither does it excuse morons booing them because 'in their opinion' they aren't playing as well as they feel they should be. honestly, i'm outraged by one or two 'fans' who think this behaviour is acceptable. paying for a ticket DOES NOT MEAN YOU KNOW BEST. you are there to watch your team, not tell them how to play the game.you are there to support your team so bloody support them! i really shudder at some people who seem to think they can do and say whatever they want because they are aiming it at 'people who earn lots of money'.

you people seriously need to get a grip of what going to the football is SUPPOSED to be about.

Yes footballers enjoy privileged lifestyles, but doesn't mean they don't have feelings, and frankly what has Morrison done wrong to justify any abuse going his way?
