Very much possible. He didnt just have a good season, it was brilliant. Not like the run of the mill English players who have a once in a life time season at some point. Better than all of those.
He is a stockbroker by trade and he is still in the trading business. Hes actually quite good at it too. Not surprising as his entire career involved trading assets. Hiag would have mentioned Piskie though.
We get it, you know absolutely nothing about Bayern, Pep or much else. See my sig for further evidence.
I just think he needs to continue his development with regular games at a club where he is trusted. He wont get regular games with us unless we intend to play two up top or drop Rooney, which of those do you think most likely?
Bollocks, How was it much better than ANY of these? Kane 14/15: 34 games 21 goals Stewart 00-01: 31 Games 19 goals Bent 09-10: 38 games 24 goals Johnson 04-05: 37 games 21 goals Caroll 10-11: 19 games 11 goals You are a fad jumper UiR, you would be the first to jump on Kane if he stays at Spurs next season and doesnt grab half a dozen goals in the first 10 games. I will concede that Kane is unique in that this was his first season of football, so that is impressive. but still.....far too early for him to move on.
If you think any of those average strikers compared to Kanes last season then there is no hope for you. These were clearly one offs from average players who hit a purple patch. None of them were at a club like Spurs who behind the top sides, are one of the leagues best. Most were at relegation fodder and benefitted from ancient british tactics. Kanes hot property. I dont recall anyone ever stating that about the others (excluding Liverpool). I am really enjoying the chavs desperate attempts to put a downer on our signings though. Great stuff.
Strikers thrive on confidence and consistency, 2 or 3 games in a row every few weeks would shatter both of these in a young player. He is much better off at Spurs for now (maybe 1 year instead of 2), there will be plenty of time for him to move in the future.
You haven't signed him you dufus! (thought I would throw in an American insult, you like those.). Bast and Morgan are both very good signings I know you may not have been alive during some of those seasons, but I very distinctly remember people talking up all of them during those seasons. And surely the fact that they were able to match Kane's records at relegation sides rather than a "top side" like Spurs, is even more impressive? Ancient British tactics? Get a clue lad.
Being a Yank you wont be familiar with the problems in English football. Aimless long balls to wide positions, rough and tumble players with little technique. We glorify pkayers like Gerrard. Thats our problem Those above were typical English style strikers of the forgotten kind. Kanes more tgan that, he seem intelligent and has great technique. Kanes the rooney of today, once in a decade sort of player. And no, I haven't just decided that he is, ive been taunting Hiag for a while now
Oh and Bent, Johnson and Carroll, if you checked your dossier (or borrow one of your fellow chavs) you will note that I use those nothing strikers to warn when others get a little excited. Or to wind up Liverpool about Sturridge. The fact you compare them says all we need to know. Bloody yank!
Oh of course, Kane is special, how stupid of me not to see it. No mate, Kane is special because he is here NOW. And you are very much a fad of the week kinda guy.
The irony. You aren't even a little excited, you are full-on, jizz stained pants, sweaty palmed, red faced, salivating at the mouth, pining for Harry Kane.
The ****ter with all of this is, I don't even necessarily disagree that Kane won't end up being a great player. I think he does have something about him, which, if nurtured right, could end up taking him to the top. But, call it Ancient British bullishness, I cannot help but scoff at a kid with one year of football behind him, being bought for £40m +. It's craziness. If you recall I had the same problem with the Luke Shaw transfer you guys had last year.
