We missed him today when he went off

Shame as he has been superb since Christmas, and hopefully he won't be out too long but wasn't a great challenge and he looked in a great deal of pain

Cork-Hammond are going to have to up their game, as well as Chaplow who is (if people remember) a CM

They scored 2 wonder goals. We could easily have won it 2-0. Although Morgan is first choice, Cork and Hammond played well today..

I was disappointed that he was listed as starting.

He gives away silly FKs and gets silly yellows.
As he proved in the first 3 mins... <doh>

Sorry, usually think you speak sense but disagreed with everything you've said since the match almost. Spider's our first choice CM and deservedly so. Without him I believe we lack a lot if creativity. I was dissappointed about Cork not starting however as him and Morgan work best together IMO.

Well not really, more appropriate would be since June 2008

Morgan is quality, no doubt. But he got booked and then injured in a game when we really needed him.

I massively disagree about our central midfield. We didn't have one in the second half. Lallana should get MOM for me for shear effort and desire. (though he did fluff his 1 v 1).

As for Cork and Hammond they need to toughen up fast as pompey brushed them aside with ease at times.

No, he was too lightweight/not ready in 2008/2009 and our 2 seasons in League One he was in and out the team so didn't get a regular run of games but he has really matured this season

100% not true, anyone watching him will say he's always been very good

Don't think either Cork or Hammond have a problem with toughness. It's a recurring theme with English midfielders that they don't like being on the ball and don't take their time to look up and find their best option. Morgan will always do that when he has time.

Adkins says Morgan's injury is a bad one. Was all thin-lipped....looked angry about it.

Morgan didn't look too happy either. I'd be surprised if he's not out for the rest of the run-in. Got a stud in his knee apparently. How the skate gets away with tackling over the top without so much as a booking I don't know.

I was a bit confused, Adkins sais its a bad one, then sais it was a nasty stud mark. I think he may have been suggesting it was rough tackle or something like that instead of a terrible injury. Did he actually say he was out for the season, i mean he did hobble of the pitch
