Clasie signed a new contract with Feyenoord. He's not the same player as Schneiderlin. Yes, he is a midfielder, but there the comparison ends.
He likes to tackle and and has a good pass on him. So he plays a little like Morgan, he just needs to add goals like Morgan has this season.
Is this your extensive knowledge, from closely following the Eredivisie every season, kicking in again Beef..?
Was it your extensive knowledge, from closely following the Eredivisie every season, kicking in, when you made your comparison Hashtagullingyourleg
Probably watched him play around 20-30 games, so I would say I could judge him by now . I wouldn't compare him to Morgan as he has shown he can do it in the Prem. If we buy Clasie and he adapts well then he will be a very good replacement.
Of course. How else would I make the comparison..? Do you think I form my opinion from anyone's say-so..? Oh, how little you know me..!
We have to try and get at least European competition I feel, As I see that we could plausibly get Champs league by winning that. Big if tho. And with doing this, No way would we sell Morgan to spurs (Sideways move) Id be v/ happy to see him join PSG, A CL powerhouse in his country. Would deffo propel him to a Starter in the French National team for sure.
I have absolutely no idea, but i'm totally confident our scouting department will find a suitable replacement.
Well at least this subject has got the supporters talking about European qualification at some level. Mention this a few weeks ago, or even this time last season, and the few of us who would have had a proper discussion about it would have been viewed as heretics.
There are a number of articles floating around about Morgan. Having read most of them - to be fair to him - he seems to have been concerned with all the selling and expressed concern over the lack of ambition and thought it time to move somewhere that would allow him to develop him as a player and ultimately play CL. He said over the summer that he would watch and see if and how we were strengthened, then make his decision. Saints did leave a lot of the deals towards the end, obviously there were circumstances that caused that. He has made reference to a 'verbal gentlemen's agreement' he had with NC that he felt the club should have honoured as this was made by the then CEO of Saints. That NC had left was an irrelevance as NC made the pledge on behalf of Saints. He felt he needed to sit out the friendly and get his thought-processes clear and thereafter made a commitment to stay. RK commented in the week before the Liverpool game how impressed he was with Morgan in training, so it appears that the corner had been turned and the reception the Saints fans gave him at Anfield (thank you all who were there!!) was the decider. Whether he leaves at the end of the season I think will depend on where we end up in the EPL. It will be a hard-sell to keep him if we do not make the CL. So we just have to keep winning and take some top-4 scalps!
If the club should honour verbal agreements with Nicola, I will write and tell them that he promised me a five grand.
