I was happy with the second half performance.

The first half we where terrible.

I thought Sammy looked good. Albeit he makes the wrong decisions at times but hes young.

Dummett looks like he could develop aswell.

    Vuckic was terrible.

Pardew made the right subs and the right times.

    Sholas first miss was shocking.

    Marveaux went missing all game.

MBIWA WAS AWFUL - He looked nervous.

There player should have been sent off for that tackle on Debuchy. It was potentially a leg breaker.

A good result to a tricky affair!

    Decent summary for me.

Vuckic needs to be loaned out or sold, he's had a lot of chances to shine and has failed to do so. If we had a bigger squad I'd also be looking to ship Marveaux out. He has a good eye for a pass and is creative but there is no consistency to his game.

Sammy played well and Pardew did get his subs right to be fair to him. We were embarrassingly poor first half. I thought Gosling had a busy game but wouldn't say he was paticularly good or bad.

If we want to beat Leeds we'll need to player a stronger line up than this one.

Yeah, high hopes indeed for Vuckic, but it's really difficult to see what he brings or why he was ever thought of so. Times's up for me.

I really like Sammy, and I'll tell you why - because the lad gives it a go time and time again, never gives up, always looking to take his man (or even men!) on. Ginola & Robert are just two examples of players who would keep trying the skill when it wouldn't always work, and we loved those guys. Sammy's got stacks of ability and he's getting more confident. Really would like to see him stick around with the hope that he's a regular by the turn of the year. Who better to learn from the Jonas in terms of composure and teamwork? Sure, it's only Morecambe and it's only one game, but at least he showed why he's in a Premier League squad. Gouff, Marv - so disappointing, particularly when you consider how easily Ben Arfa destroyed the opposition even in a 10 minute cameo. To be fair, a lot of people said that both players were unlikely to really shine at the top table and they're right. I wonder if both are actually available, given the club's apparent desperation in bringing two strikers in?

Disagree about Mbiwa - again, I like the fact he tried to remain composed even in the dingy confines of League Two. He'll come good, of that I have no doubt. Few shaky moments, but really good player. Loved Good's left foot as well - he can really rake a pass out at times.

One thing I did think is that if we'd played Colo, Cisse, Sissoko and Anita we would have probably steamrollered them.

Morecambe might only be a League 2 team but they were up for it, it was their Cup Final. They gave us some hard times early on and you can't take anything away from them for trying. It might have been over a lot earlier if HBA had been brought on sooner. It sometimes just takes the one touch of class to decide a game. I think that thug Ellison was lucky to stay on the pitch though.
