For a long time I couldnt get past the first line of this song being " bastards stole the power card "
It's a belter of a tune. I thought it was head and shoulders above the other tracks on the album. Like Fishermans blues (from the other thread) I was left disappointed by Automatic for the people. It seemed to be a huge commercial and critical success at the time I thought it was really bad compared to their earlier efforts. I listened to it a while back and enjoyed it far more than I had at the time. I found everybody hurts to be one of the most annoying songs I ever heard. I remember going to a party in the 90's and this guy was playing it on the guitar. I actually physically removed the guitar from the bloke. He was bad enough without singing that. I used to be ****ing terrible for things like that. Another time this guy attempted to sing Pocohontas by Neil Young. He was so dire I took the guitar next and did it properly. In my defence I was pretty young at the time and totally out my nut. Us old school guys take our sounds seriously.
Been working with a young lad recently and I've been trying to educate him a bit. Problem is hes a stubborn wee prick with an attitude. Which drives me round the ****ing bend because hes basically me 10 years ago
