Good. They're the future of the club. Imagine how good getting to the cup final would be for the young support.

When I was young there was a handful of kids at school going to BP & early on at the KC. Most of them claimed to be Man Utd & Liverpool fan.

Great news especially from the primary school teachers. I had one child yesterday in a FC top and the poor little lass thought she had a City shirt on! That's the parents influence.
The vermin are the middle aged blokes wearing the chavs choice around town, Liverpool, and the bandwagon glory hunters in their Chelsea, Arsenal, even Manchester City, Spurs and of course Man Utd shirts.
    Our day will come.

That generation is lost- we lost it in the 70s and 80s.

We should concentrate on the u20s - they've seen 4 promotions, 2 wembley trips (....3?), they can stamp out this cowardice and weakness once and for all.

Leeds had a lot of success in the 90s. We lost loads of support back then and early 2000s.

We started turning it around after 2002-03.

I didn't realise other school staff were on here. Good to hear.

It was a good 3-4 kids per class at our school too. Even a few FC and KR shirts thrown in there. Local teams!

    The vermin are ****ed.

They are well and truly gone as a force in football.

They have been out the top league for a long time now and are light years behind MUFC, MCFC, NUFC, LFC & EFC in the North in terms of structure, stadium and appeal.

    Lol

Daft sod I was going on my own by the time I was 12,

Even to away games on the old footy specials once I climbed out of bedroom window and tapped the train fare .

I'm sure old gits on here remember a little group of lads standing in the train station trying to look menacing and asking everyone for 2 bob

Giss 50p Mr Stewart I need the coach fare to Wembley

I was going to try to explain that, then I realised in my whole life I've only ever been to one match with any family member, and that was when I took my little cousin to a City game a couple of years ago. (That shocker we lost 1-0 against Sheff U, so she hasn't rushed back <laugh>)

Could it be a financial thing though? I know when I go places with my family they tend to pay for things for me. It's mainly because the places we go are places I wouldn't bother going on my own, but I only accept it because really it just means there's less for me to inherit one day anyway. Maybe for a lot of younger fans now the cost of tickets and beer money for the day if they go with their mates is too much to justify if when they go with their parents it's all paid for because it's a family thing?

Worrying if young fans are effectively forced to sponge on their parents if the costs are too high.

It also cuts out a large proportion of the population in economic terms.

The number of children I see running on a Saturday wearing City clothing is indeed a great thing to see. It has steadily been increasing year on year since 2008 and perhaps maybe before that. I see very few 'top 4' team replica tops now. Stability in the premier league should only enhance this. Even a drop down back to the championship probably wouldn't affect it too much now.

TigerFiley, we saw N sat in E1 as she texted us to let us know she was there. She said it was scary lol. Poor N.

Agree with the above comments that more kids will only be a good thing. More fans growing up with the club and expanding our fan base whilst us being surrounded by less plastics all around.
