Well said Jim It seems most Rangers fans have adopted the head-in-the-sand approach to the whole issue and hope that it's all just some anti-Rangers conspiracy by the Celtic-supporting media (including the BBC of course) that will just blow over. At most you get an "oh well, administration isn't too bad" as if that's all that's going to happen. Most of them don't seem to grasp the enormity of the situation.

Stereo Typist, you have a similar trait as the Rangers fans you post about having head in the sand. AS well as CEOs jumping up and down supporting Rangers (and them with their head in the sand think its fair enough) : you seemed to put your head in the sand last season when the two Rangers players attacked, or slapped the referee (which-ever you prefer) and got off Scot-free. Of course I am wrong for mentioning that, I am so sorry stereo.
Magic, HMRC informed RFC that their management of their EBT was not valid and they presented RFC with a tax bill circa£20m. Rangers disagreed and wouldn't pay. That is a fact and is the gorilla in the room. HMRC then slapped penalties on RFC for not paying up. RFC then decided to appeal against the HMRC decision that they owe tax. RFC are quite entitled to appeal.
So when you say they owe the taxpayer money, you actually mean HMRC? There was no public money given to Rangers. There was no bailout. Do you think taxes were risen because Rangers never paid the right amount of tax? The scary thing is that Jim is one of the 'intelligent' Celtic fans
Magic, Thanks for the "intelligent" remark, but I'm sure that moniker covers most OF fans on here, with a few wee exceptions. You are spot on that the money is owed to HMRC, and I can see your line of argument. However, I take the view that Government Departments have a budget to spend, and that money is taxpayers money, spent on behalf of taxpayers. Likewise, if money is owed to a Government Department, I view that is owed to the taxpayer. It's a moot point, but we both seem to agree on the core of what I posted originally.
Pud I know you are a simple person, with a simple name but how do you find two Rangers players, attacking or slapping the referee as funny. I am sorry I just cannot understand you.
1) **** off WUM! 2) They never slapped or attacked the referee. They held/touched his arms! Hardly assault you imbecile!
when are people going to stop replying to superhoops as if he's geniune? he's been a clear wum for months
Motherwell player only touched the referee , in the match fixing game, yet another example a different set of rules for Rangers . Bougerra shouldn't even have been on pitch to touch the ref , how he wasn't set off for trying to put Hooper in hospital is beyond me
Pud. I advise you to clean your glasses and look again at the incidents in the Celtic/Rangers Cup replay last year. Even the vilest stupidest and bigoted hun freely admits that the referee was struck on the arm on more than one occasion. If the referee was not hit, why did he run away. But sure the referee gave instant forgiveness because he saw the pleading eyes. Pud, you may be simple, you may be stupid, but one thing you should not attempt to do is to rewrite history.
So much is beyond you. Like holding down a job, a relationship, a conversation, you're breakfast of meths and super noodles....
