Fair Play to Everton. They deserved it. If I had my way the table would end 1. Arsenal 2. Everton 3. Swansea 4. N'Castle 18. Chavski 19. ManUre 20. Spurs
The only cripe with your excellent match threads, SuperJackWilshere, is that you don't put the names of the players in the player matchups. I have no idea who those Montpellier players are just by their faces.
We are playing today. **** I thought it was tomorrow. Football on TV wise I love living in India every Arsenal game is shown on TV (UTD, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, City is the hierarchy of popularity so all there games get shown) though evening time means game kicks of at 12.30 and finishes around 2.30 but go Arsenal.
Wos is out according to the BBC ankle injury, Mannone gets another shot and tbf he has looked good so far. Only thing is if he plays well and Wos is fit for the city game who starts? I would say stick with Mannone being in and out at the start of the season with niggling injuries is not the form you want a keeper to be in before City and Chelsea. Save Wos for coventry try and get his confidence back up and go from there.
According to Wenger "on James Shea… He was on the list as goalkeeper No 5 at the beginning of the season and now he is No 2!"
He talks a bit about the more specialized roles of his assistants this season towards the end. Looks like Martinez isn't an option for the CL.

It will be interesting to see what kind of side wenger plays, everyone on here seems to think that he'll rest alot of players but i'm not sure, i know that we have man city at the weekend but we have 4 days in between both games which is a luxury and it is our first champs league game, i think we should go with our strongest team in an attempt to get maximum points from our first game. Scezney is out and it's really down to whether diaby is fit as to whether he'll play. What i'm saying is that the players have a rest next week so i think we should play our strongest 11 in both games and if we get injuries then we will have to deal with them.
Team News!!! Arsenal: Mannone - Jenks - Mertesacker - Vermaelen - Gibbs - Arteta - Diaby - Cazorla - Podolski - Gervinho - Giroud Subs: Shea - Koscielny - Santos - Ramsey - Walcott - Oxlade-Chamberlain - Coquelin
Montpellier: Jourdren, Bocaly, Yanga M'Biwa, Hilton, Bedimo, Estrada, Saihi, Mounier, Belhanda, Cabella, Camara Subs: Pionnier, Marveaux, Herrera, Congre, Ait-Fana, Stambouli, Jeunechamp.
Wow, I'm surprised he's gone for full strength. Can't complain really. Neither Man City or us will have an advantage when we play each other this weekend since we're playing at the same time. We can only hope we have a comfortable victory and conserve some energy. I know Real Madrid are going to run Man City ragged win or lose, they have more to prove after their last few games.
