Just watched 1917. A visual masterclass. Not historically accurate at times, but still a stunning achievement. 9/10.
I've been wanting to watch that actually, is it on Netflix? What is it about? I'm guessing the yanks will be the heroes, was that not the year they decided to join the war?

No, it's not on Netflix yet. I watched it on DVD.

It's about two young British soldiers who must race against time to get a vital message to the front line. If they fail their mission, hundreds will needlessly die.

It truly is a magnificent film. And there's not a single Yank in sight. Bonus. <ok>

This is true, read it as a anti war movie and the struggles of a normal joe on the front line, your Yank comment doesn't make sense
