The fact we haven't heard anything by now suggests to me either they aren't convinced by a Monk appointment or they are still negotiating with another person. I mean if he has had the job, why not just come out and say?
Rumor central ..... Post claims .... Monk has hired Dai as his PR outlet in a desperate bid to seed the FACTS of his non-performance and spin positively. Looks like he is going with the loud and "proud" option and the usual tactic of ad hominem attacks against all dissenters. His protege's blunder in the last minute yesterday is causing some embarrassment and sauces are stating that Monk's behind the doors admonishment after the game that he tackles like a girl has caused an almost irreparable rift and Chico had to grab and wield a brick to restore calm .... although he wasn't sure who to aim it at. Canas was last heard laughing his arse off.
Drivel. Nothing is CERTAIN. The 3 teams coming up from the Championship will be favourites to go back down (as usual) not to mention a handful of other bottom half Prem teams (I guess we'll be included in that group).
Is it my imagination,or has the number of dead beat, cannon fodder teams, increased over the years in the P.L.? This season, over half would fit that description. The so called "best league in the world" gets less attractive year on year. Or so it seems to me.
It might be the richest league in the world but it most definitely isn't the best in terms of quality.
I wouldn't ever include the word "quality" when describing the P.L.,unless the words "sub standard" came before it,so we are in accord,Valley. It's for sure the richest, but it's overrated, and bloated in the extreme.
High price increases with journey players who have no loyalty or connection to the club they play for .It has become more and more elitist but less attractive to watch and participate in .Maybe Cardiff got lucky by going down , no ,maybe not.
Agree with all the above, Monk does indeed have a high opinion of himself, and that will be his downfall, he has been a disruptive influence towards the end of his career, and I expect him to be found out next season after a short spell at the helm. I'm grateful for him rescuing the season but he should never be the one to take us into next season after the way our team have performed so badly since the cup win at Wembley, it is going to be one of the most tumultuous summer pre-season's on record!................ By the way we are likely to have another Bodde situation with Michu!! I'm going to put up an article later tonight regarding the lads bad luck, and I'm hoping the very best for him during the summer break that his injury will fully recover, but many at the club are worried.
If that's the case then it's a ploy to get him to walk without having to be told to go. Bit of an insult. I don't want Monk to be manager, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be treated with respect.
