I was thinking more along the lines of the SNP wanting to get rid of our independent nuclear deterrent just at the time when we need it the most! <ok>

KIO, I'd say the best way to lower the threat of the third world is to move them closer to the 1st world. If e went over there with the intention of providing sewers, water treatment, irrigation for farming, hospitals and schools then the inhabitants of these countries would probably be very welcoming. Spending preposterous amounts of money on unwinnable wars and alienating a third of the world population has really damaged the progression of countries in the Middle East and Africa. But it has lined big corporations and politicians pockets nicely so who cares(!)

As for FIFA, if all the fans just said "Screw you, we're not watching" FIFA or Sky or even our own FA might take notice. It's a shame that the fans have to make the sacrifice to get the big boys to pay attention but I really don't see any other way than to stop lining their pockets.

Money is the only thing that gets noticed these days (How ****ing depressing is that) people and their problems don't matter. And the fact that half the population of the developed world are happy to ignore the suffering of others just shows how we have failed as a society.

It is not the poster that is the evidence, it is the story the poster refers to, do you know nothing of the story of the contract from a firm owned by a large donator to the Tory party being given the contract by that same Tory party, even though they were charging £7M more than the NHS?

Agree Colk, but various charities have been sending £millions to the third world for years and they are still living in the dark ages. Where does all the money go ? I think we both probably know the answer to that <ok>

Theres still a lot of pockets that need lining. Have to cater to them first of course!

Charities can only do so much. If you had the backing of some of the most powerful countries in the world you could probably develop these countries in 5-10 years. Maybe the way people think would take longer but if you put the potential for a better world infront of them you would hope the majority would take it and the radicals would slowly die out. Inequality leads to radical ideas. It's something that's been proven continually throughout human history.

This still doesn't prove corruption though does it! Did Cameron personally benefit from this decision financially? Indeed did any other Government Minister enrich themselves through this decision? If they did and you have cast iron evidence then please spill! <ok>

There have been stories like this around the awarding of Government contracts since time began! Look up all the dodgy deals that Brown did by instigating huge PFI Contracts for the NHS under the last Labour Government, We can all throw mud around at the end of the day!

Rich and middle class kids will be the only ones that can afford to attend higher education and their working class counterparts will be forced to do council jobs like litter picking for 30 hrs a week as punishment for leaving school to earn £55 a week dole money like criminals doing community service.
I know someone who had a job interview the same day as his signing on day , he told them in advance and was asked to sign the following day.
He turned up and they sanctioned him for a month with zero money.
See what happens if a self employed person evades tax , massive fines and custodial sentence the rich are asked to own up and don't get investigated .

Seems to me too many people are too lazy to actually look into all the crap the rich and politicians get away with and just choose to believe the propaganda.

If you're still following along Warky, I suggest you watch a series of films called "Zeitgeist" They're on netflix and I'm sure you could find an easy stream anywhere else on line. It might change the way you think. I'd recommend it to my fellow Norwich supporters as well.

    You're right there mate!

There are plenty of examples of former Ministers who in Government were being lobbied by big corporations and low and behold they get big fat juicy directorships once they leave office!

Hang on a minute SN, I am far from wealthy in fact quite the opposite yet my daughter is going to University with predicted straight 'A's and already has an unconditional offer from one University because of that. I don't agree with tuition fees but a lot of what is said about them is a myth. She will leave Uni with a large debt but it's only re-payable once she's earning a certain amount PA (can't remember the exact figure). Not only that if she fails to find employment, not that I think she won't, after so many years the debt is written off.
There is no such thing as 'the working class' anymore in my opinion, there are those that encourage their offspring to work hard at school get off their backsides and make something of their lives and those that just can't be arsed. For what it's worth I agree with Cameron's idea to make young people work for their benefits, why shouldn't they ? There should be no such thing as a free lunch <ok>

I watched it about 10 years ago Colk and it truly tells the history of the Global banking families control of the planet.
Most of the predictions have since been spot on and the current goverments have instigated this mess today and the 1% richest continue to benefit at the expense of the 99% of us .
Warky buys into this crap because he wants to keep as bigger slice of the pie as he can, but it will all come crashing down around us .

I am saying the gulf between the richest and poorest in Britain is getting bigger, i sincerely hope your daughter does well at Uni and comes out to find a good job but it's getting tougher.
My family are quite wealthy and have retired comfortably but most are in debt and live from paycheck to paycheck .
We have no Industry any more everything is bought from China, we don't make cars tv's computers phones clothes etc.
Norwich Union or Aviva is based in India now I believe .
The big supermarkets have squeezed farmers to the point where they struggle to make profit and employ mainly migrant cheap workers.
Even supermarket jobs are being automated so you scan your own shopping.
My Industry has 80% cheap foreign workers in now and it's getting harder .

Do you know what you are talking about?

Britain is home to Tens of Thousands of Car Workers and has some of the most efficient automotive factories in the world! Nissan in Sunderland, Toyota in Derby, Honda in Swindon, Jaguar/LandRover in the West Midlands! We are also home to the Formula 1 car industry! All the R&D and build is done here. I know you want to paint us as a basket case but please get your facts right mate!

By all means force school leavers to work but pay them the basic minimum wage or otherwise Council workers who are paid to do these jobs will be made redundant and replaced with kids on less than £2 an hour .
